The one thing that has been particularly bothering me is just how rubbish we are at set pieces. We have absolutely no threat at all.

And on the same note..... We all thought Arsenal would dick us on the floor, so to get outplayed in the air just sucks

Yes, now I think about it he was probably an 8. Perhaps his bad run when him and Pog were through marked him down a bit.

Just finished watching the game. Disappointed beyond words with the result but even more proud...

I've never been so gutted about a football result.
Gutted for Feds as well.

Dave, your "joke" wore thin a long time ago. It's just fucking tedious now. LOL @ Pog being shocking, you tiresome prick.

First half I thought we stood off them a little to much but second half, we came out a different team, got stuck in, started picking up the second balls and the central spine of the team, Pearce, Hector, Chalobah and Williams were emmense. We kind of carried that on in Extra Time but the goal seemed to knock the stuffing out of us.

Couple of errors for the first goal but that's what happens when you're up against a midfield with world class players. Second goal, a bad error but Feds was central to getting us to extra time and it's happened to better keepers than him in the past and will again in the future.

Bottom line, we have gone toe to toe with a top team in red hot form and given them a bloody hard game. I think we should be proud of everyone on and off the field today

Noticed that before the game the arse had a long video about their work in the community and how they encouraged young players. Yet their team is full of overseas talent. Not only did Reading hold their own, but with a team made up of so many academy players. Even more reason to feel proud.

Can't actually express how gutted I am. For me personally, this is my most gut wrenching defeat of all time.

I really feel for Feds. Such a sh1tty way to lose..

That was awesome. Aside from losing obviously. Only just got back but a great game, great day, I love Feds regardless and we wouldnt have been in extra time had he not been there for us in the first place. This is the sort of performance we should cap our season off with, and be excited for next year.

I never thought I'd be as heartbroken over a game as I feel right now. Yes I know it's only a match but I really am quite miserable right now :(

Gutted. Set out expecting a drubbing. Team played out of their skins. Fans immense. Thought we had enough chances to have won it. Just a couple of if onlys away from returning for the cup final.

Feds - some great saves, one mistake
Gunter - pretty solid
Obita - same, plus a decent early shot
Hector - awesome, so many good tackles or clearances, still made a couple of minor mistakes but made up for them in spades
Pearce - good performance, solid
Williams - ran and ran, superb, strong in the tackle
Chalobah - very good, decent challenges and like Williams protected defence well
McCleary - lost his man for their goal, scored ours, some decent runs
HRK - seem to recall it was his pressure that led to the move that we scored from, otherwise too many passes astray
Mackie - probably still running now, unlucky not to open the scoring, great performance, poor choice of run when Pog was driving at their defence
Pog - could have had a couple with a bit more composure, constantly fouled

Jem - fitted in well when came on
Cox - one decent pass to Mackie, otherwise little time to do much
Yak - nice back heel, otherwise little time

Ref gave us little to nothing all game.

MOTM - Hector or Williams

Brilliant day - from the brilliant atmosphere at the Torch pre match right through until the journey home it was excellent. The performance was beyond any expectations and we deserved penalties at the least. Devastated for Feds and angry as the (woeful) referee failed to blow for HT in ET a good 20s or so before Sanchez scored.

Should've had a penalty two, and denied two 1v1s by the joke of a linesman.

Still today is all about the fantastic team effort and McCleary's goal was a moment to savour!

Just watching it back now on MOTD. Can I just say fcuk off Jason Roberts? This annoying cnut has just weaseled his way into being the Reading mouthpiece when he was here for 1 year. Fcuk off & get Murty back.

It's suddenly dawned on me how much this fella irritates me.

Vdery little mention of the ref here. I thought he was incredibly one-sided. He must have given everything to Arsenal. The stats indicate he gave us 9 fouls and them 20. Por old Pog was getting battered, [articularly from behind, and he never got a thing.

Thought Roberts stood up to Ian 'Arsenal played badly and that's why it was close' Wright very well.
(but would prefer Murts)

Club Wembley was 95% Arse so made sure I joined in with songs from below

Gutted for Feds, he kept us in the game

Watched live on TV in NZ. An immense performance. So proud...I did a kind chicken dance when we scored... all by myself at 5am in the morning! Felt like I was there! We MUST remember how to play like this next season!

Can`t agree with BBC stats that Arsenal had 72% possession and 23 efforts on goal.
