Seriously, all this refunds on season tickets business.

Who do you support - the former manager or the club?

It's disappointing for Brian, and could well be a bit of a worrying sign for stability at the club.

But his record (this time) is crap. He's gone. No one is bigger than the club. That includes the current owners. We are the club, not some Thai property investors. We're the ones that provide the continuity.

I hope they make the right appointment, but no matter what, I'll be there next season, hoping for the best (but fearing the worst).

Club is an absolute shambles and totally unrecognisable from the one we had a decade ago.

Lurching from one calamity to the next like a blind kid playing Donkey Kong.

Brian didn't really deserve to stay given his track record, and I didn't think he was the man to take us forward anyway, but agree with others that the clubs becoming a bit of a pantomime with manager turnover. Obvious something was up with Squeeky bailing out a few weeks back however. Can't see us sacking Brian and bringing in a (potentially) big name replacement without intending to make decent funding available however which could be good news.

A total oxf*rd disgrace.

I like to consider myself a positive supporter. I clap the team off after embarrassing defeats because they're still my team. Every year, I expect that we'll get promoted but would happily settle for lower mid table.

This has shattered my positivity in an instant.

There's a terrible pattern - Adkins, Bibbo, Clarke, and now McDermott. Adkins had just suffered that terrible defeat and was flailing, so in isolation that was fairly understandable. Clarke had failed to get the best out of the squad and was looking elsewhere, so again, fairly understandable. McDermott? Completely incomprehensible. I initially blamed Clarke for the Bibbo fiasco but now I'm inclined to lay blame with the Thais.

I would rather see us in mid-table in League Two or even the Conference doing things "right" - living within our means, supporting our managers, bringing through young players and coaches - than this shambolic Championship existence. My only reservation about the Thais selling up to a fans group would be whether we could afford to maintain the stadium on lower league revenues - I suspect not.

This is a complete disgrace and the board should be ashamed of themselves.

Never know- this might be our Pearson to Ranieri moment :?

Pearson had built something. That Ranieri took to another level.

At the end of this season we had nothing. In fact a poorer squad than at the of last season. Next season could be seriously grim.

Exactly. Disgraceful decision but I was planning to renew today and have done

Unless it's Colin I'm sure the new man will get my support, although at least if it is Colin he'll suffer getting sacked by the idiots at the top

I wasn't really being serious, and if the Stam talk turns out to be true then I'll be suspicious- although a new manager is bound to get backing in the transfer window. Problem is we might end up with a repeat of this season- a half-rebuilt squad with a different manager by Christmas.

This.

The OTT meltdown over the departure of the limited one is all too predictable, as his employment clearly means more to some than the results and performances of the team.

Hoop Blah I'm worried for Top Flight....

Rumour has it that he (predictably) didn't take the news too well, and promptly launched himself off a cliff upon hearing it.

We won't be seeing him on here again.

I've supported the club a lot more vocally than others throughout the season. I missed a total of 12 games home and away.

Yet to renew and now considering it because I don't agree with how we are being run. It has nothing to do with Brian. It could have been anyone who we had employed in DECEMBER (6 (SIX) months ago)

I can't pretend to be disappointed. Brian is a nice guy but he's too nice, and clearly not learned a great deal since his first stint here. We move on, again.

I did wonder if the owners were just property speculators. However, they've taken the expensive option in sacking a manager who just wasn't delivering the results. That to me suggests they are committed to the football side of the business, not just the Royal Elm Park or whatever it's called.

Not his team though. Changing the manager still leaves us with the same group of players. While managers get sacked. Players don't.
