Yep. I have no problem with him. Decent guy who does his best with limited info.
yeah yeah I get all that. The point being is to 99% people who come across him, reporting on Reading FC IS his job.
No doubts he does plenty of other stuff behind the scenes, but surely he realises it comes across as a comment open to ridicule
Not really. It’s a part time job that won’t be paying much. That inner Farage is coming out in you again.

You're missing the point though. To the majority of people that follow him/read his tweets, reporting about Reading is his main job. Irrespective of whether he has other duties to report on/carry out, it's still a strange thing to say. It would have made more sense just to have said "due to other commitments" rather than "due to work commitments"

Hound yeah it was a lighthearted observation, didn't mean it as a major criticism of the guy. 'I can't do my job because I've a work commitment'....

Hound I really have no idea where you’ve dreamed this Brexit Party stuff up from Zip. But if that’s how you want to imagine me, I’m not going to ruin your fantasy

He didn’t word it as “other work commitments” though, he said he won’t be there because of “work commitments”. I agree with the principle mind, it is insignificant but he should have worded it better especially when you consider the Twitter mongs

I wonder how much he gets paid for doing his Reading FC journo work? Genuinely no idea.

I wonder how long it would be if he was rested or subbed early against brum.
