Yeah but point was on the timing not how much our players cost relative to theirs

If it’d been 5 subs allowed against Preston for us it’d have been absolutely useless really - whilst now it gives us options

Not a fan of changing rules partway through the season.

no agreed. Should have been 5 since the start of the season.

It makes literally no difference

SCIAG So that’s £7m Aluko and £10m Puscas.

Fees can be an indication of how good a player is but they’re not perfect.

LOL @ thinking Puscas actually cost us that much.

Old Man Andrews We are going to get battered. The wheels are off and we will drop down the league like a stone.

You on twitter under the name EP-80 by any chance?

No. I am on Twitter as me.

Whoever that is has sent racist abuse to people I am friendly with so if you're accusing me of being that particular person I would suggest you cease pretty quickly and never mention me and them in the same conversation again.

I didnt see any of his racist abuse, just he is constantly posting that we are about to drop down the league like a stone. My apologies for unintentionally offending you x

Pepe the Horseman Given Bournemouth's squad depth compared to ours, this couldn't really have come at a worse time.

dunno depends who is back fit. We could well have a bench with Baldock, Yiadom, Semedo, Aluko, Puscas, McIntyre or something similar

FWIW Bournemouth's bench might include most of these (with approx transfer costs):
Diego Rico-£10 million
Chris Mepham -£8 million
Lloyd Kelly-£10 million
Phil Billing £16 million
Arnat Danjuna-£16 million
Cameron Carter-Vickers USA int. on loan from Spurs
Riquelme-the winger we had on trial

We of course have Aluko.

Any ideas on likely line up
What I would like to see with the current injury situation-
GK Rafael
LB Richard
RB Yiadom
CB Mcintyre
CB Morrison
CM Laurent
CM Rinhomota
LAM Olise
RAM Esteves
CF Puscas
CF Joao

It would be nice to see 1 of Meite, Ejaria or Moore on the bench as a plan B if needed Meite or Ejaria if we are chasing the game and need more support for Puscas or Moore on for Puscas if winning to close out the game with a back 5. That's if we could risk any of them for 20mins at the end.

A good interview with Jack Stacey in the local paper today.
Broadly he said that he wasn't the most talented and having broken his ankle in that game at Derby he didn't really get a chance to prove himself which was the case with some contemporaries who have also gone on to have good careers elsewhere (presumably the likes of Fosu, Cooper etc.)

He is still good mates with Rhino and comes across as very level headed-he is in the process of doing an OU degree in Business and Economics.

As for Bournemouth and their players with midweek International commitments:

Lerma played 65 minutes for Colombia in a 6-1 thrashing by Ecuador.
Josh King didn't play for Norway as their games were cancelled for covid reasons
Mepham played 90 minutes for Wales in their win on Wednesday
Brooks didn't start for Wales on Wednesday having scored for them at the weekend but came on in the latter stages as a sub.

Josh King out of tomorrow’s game after testing positive for Covid

Whilst that’s undoubtedly good news, not sure he’s been great so far this season, was dropped for the last game

He was injured early on so has been slow to get going.
Good news though IMHO as he is definitely Premier standard when fit and wanting to play.

King’s record in the league so far is 3 (2) apps and 0 goals so sadly don’t think he’ll be a big miss for them.

Bournemouth says: "King will now be required to self-isolate for a period of 10 days...the club is currently in the process of identifying potential close contacts"

Wonder who else might be missing come kick-off?

There is a feeling locally that he just doesn't want to be there any more and his head was turned by supposed interest from Man Utd.
He may not have been in good form so far this season but I think he is a dangerous opponent at this level and am glad that he isn't playing.

If Meite, Ejaria and Moore don’t make it, would go with this

Rafael

Yiadom
Morrison
McIntyre
Gibson
Richards

Rinomhota
Laurent
Olise

Baldock
Joao

Southwood Esteves Bristow Tetek Semedo Aluko Puscas

Although wouldn’t be against Semedo starting tomorrow as this may be his sort of game

And Puscas or Baldock are fine, opted for Baldock because Puscas was on international duty, Puscas and Joao didn’t work too well last game and I’d like to see a bit of threat off the bench which I’m not sure Baldock provides enough of
