It's essential that we impose our preferred style of play on the game from the very first whistle. Prolonged battles of head tennis in the opening minutes will not be a good omen!

Ideally need an early Joao goal (in the right end!) to boost his confidence and settle us down. Then go for the kill.

A couple of Pauno's usual bench warmers are turning out for the U23s - Onen and Camara. Guess we have enough first teamers fit to fill their places.

Spotted that the new Barnsley Manager's record
(Games 27th October onwards) is

31 Games 60 Points

This is the table 27th-October to now:

1 P31 - 70 Points - - 48-21 - GD 27 Norwich
2 P31 - 61 Points - - 48-23 - GD 25 Watford
3 P31 - 60 Points - - 43-32 - GD 11 Barnsley
4 P30 - 58 Points - - 53-29 - GD 24 Brentford (Game in Hand)
5 P30 - 57 Points - - 37-24 - GD 13 Swansea (Game in Hand)
6 P31 - 49 Points - - 49-31 - GD 18 Cardiff
7 P31 - 46 Points - - 45-31 - GD 14 Bournemouth
8 P31 - 46 Points - - 40-34 - GD 06 Middlesbrough
9 P31 - 43 Points - - 41-40 - GD 01 READING

For Clarity

P31 - W19 - D3 - L09 - 43-32 - GD 11 - - 60 Points - Barnsley
P31 - W12 - D7 - L12 - 41-40 - GD 01 - - 43 Points - Reading

Thus in terms of form over the last 31 games we have to play

1st Away
2nd Away
3rd Away (Barnsley Tonight)
5th Home
6th Home

Feels like Richards is starting to lose favour a bit. Wonder if he’s attitude hasn’t been right since the Bayern thing was sealed

Still solid side. No unexpected absences

He was a bit off before the contract, had a great game immediately after, then has dipped a bit again iirc.

Not too surprised Pauno is quicker on the trigger with him now he won't be here next season. Gibson is decent and if we have any sort of opportunity to buy him, we're going to want to see him kicking the ball in anger as much as possible.

Coverage is very negative.

They say no wins in three.

I say one defeat in six.
