Mr Optimist
Hound 8.5k per week is hardly minimum wage though tbf. Be surprised if all the players at clubs like PNE or Peterborough are on that. Reckon could have got in a free agent or loanee on that fairly easily

Exactly. Do we have any scouts that watch League 1 and 2 teams? Surely there must be someone from there that is 21/22 with 50 or so first team games behind them that would be worth a relatively low financial gamble on to see if they could make the step up…

For free? No transfer or Loan fee?

Possibly. Players run down contracts. Could’ve brought someone in during the last 8-12 months knowing that there was the possibility Richards wouldn’t be staying.

I'll grant you it's frustrating we've known Richards was going for the best part of 8 months minimum and it seems we've managed to line up nothing.

Perhaps Pauno was hoping McIntyee would do the job and LB is the only place he feels he can guarantee him games, which was required to keep him

Very likely, and maybe Paunovic wasn’t advised about how strict the embargo would be and the difficulties it will create. It sounds simplistic but we need to get back to the model of signing promising youngsters from the lower leagues balanced with some older experienced heads that may have a point to prove and still have the desire and correct work ethic.

You could say that Junior Hoillett fits in to the second category, hopefully!

4-4-2 diamond today we reckon? Or are we trying Dele at LWB?

Really hope we’re not going to persist with McIntyre at left back.

Still feels harsh on Holmes after Tuesday’s shambles

Mr Optimist Do we have any scouts that watch League 1 and 2 teams?

Seems unlikely given recent years transfer activity.

Sounds like the defending has picked up where it left off against Brizzle.

So both him and Dickie playing at a good level, that we drummed out and spent millions on shite instead of using them.

Moore and McIntyre all over the shop (probably McIntyre at fault)

Think Stam decided neither had a future at Reading and so off they went.

Stats don't look encouraging so far. Cov 6 shots so far, not 20 mins gone yet.

Cov stronger and quicker and neater in almost all aspects.

Moore just played himself into trouble with us playing out, but got away with it and McIntyre turned it into a great break out.

Looking a bit that way.

Another shambolic corner defence.
