Sutekh
Snowflake Royal Defence already at 6s and 7s. Look utterly terrified.

So this cr@ppy zonal system is what they were using last season to largely great effect, so why has the defence gone so kak in the last 6 months? Is Richards’ lack of form and ultimate departure really all the difference?

It's not just on set pieces.

I don't recall them looking as static and clustered inside the 6 yard box last season on the zonal.

Don't think set pieces are anything to do with Richards absence. Moore and Yiadom have been really poor. And McIntyre and Morrison not great. Holmes hasn't started confidently.

Moore being away on internationals and not having a proper break over summer after a compressed season last season.

Morrison falling off a cliff which was a predicted concern by a few on here. Ala mcshane

The loss of Richards

Maybe

I think trying to make up for the lack of a recognised left back the defence as a unit is just unbalanced.

It's the only thing that would really explain it for me.

Another dreadful pass by Hoilett. Rino set up a nice break, but only him and Hoilett got forward.

This is desperate stuff.

Not sure how Huddersfield didn’t score from that

Their board will be an echo of ours

Bollocks

Moore or Rino should have cleared it

Lose this and Pauno is going to have a very nervous international break. We are going backwards.

Utter shite. Yiadom just fell over, then Rino somehow let the cross pearoll through his legs.

Worse than Cov. We are truly atrocious and painful to watch. Unless the new guys are ballon d’or contenders don’t expect them to improve this shower of shite. Only going one way under stubborn Pauno and it’s certainly not up.

Agree but I worry who the owners would bring in another foreign clueless crown.

Pepe the Horseman Utter shite. Yiadom just fell over, then Rino somehow let the cross pearoll through his legs.

There's no structure to the defence.

In fairness to Rino I think he was anticipating the forward getting it and putting in a challenge, so when he didn't it was LOL a clock.

Yiadom stood too far off, then charges in and is put on his arse with a simple touch.
Moore's in the wrong place on his man, sucks Rino in to help, which leaves his man free. Holmes too far away on his man to get in and pick up Rino's.

It's just really poor.

Morrison and Holmes keeping us in it, and despite the goal nutmeg, Rino has been much the better of the other midfielders, Swift excluded.

Hoilett has been every bit as bad as I feared. Puscas is trying hard but quality a bit mixed. And TBD seems to be barely involved.

Yiadom is an absolute calamity and Moore is just not great. Cabral lucky not to throw a claim into a striker's path.

Laurent has been pretty poor too. A few players looking at a 4 or a 3 out of 10 so far.

Yiadom is the worst reading left back I’ve ever seen and that includes Marcus Williams.
