Am never quite sure what TDB brings to the side so would play Ince who is naturally left-sided.
No Ejaria?

Agree but you can spin it the same way for Drinkwater. Most people agreed he was decent up until *that Blackpool game and been pretty dire since. The month where Drinkwater looked good was where we had a relativity balanced side, where the likes of Hoilett and Halilovic were fit who offer us a different dimension. We haven’t really had that luxury since with those two aforementioned constantly injured and Drinkwater has been part of a team full of soft AM’s, creating an extremely one dimensional tactic and for a midfielder of his style, it isn’t ideal

So whilst Drinkwater’s performances have generally left a lot to be desired, he’s been extremely hampered by personnel and tactics and for that reason, I’m reluctant to scapegoat him. You put him in a different setup with more rounded players and you’d see an infinitely better player

And for those exact reasons thats why i dont want Drinkwater in the team. Unless you drop swift or change formation to a more traditional 5 man midfield.
When your 'quarter back' cant trap a 5 yard pass and balls are pinging off his knee you need to bench him.
Then you have the issue of players are waltzing past him you have to ask why. Its not in his locker to do that, he is not a player you look to in the squad and go, yup Danny is the man to track runners - thats on VP.
I dont think DD is a crap player - but the way we ask him to play makes him look crap - then he is targeted as the weak link in the team as he cant track runs and it makes it easy for them to break us down.

Anything less than a 7-0 away win and Pauno needs to be sacked. I’d also settle for a 1-0 win and a Bristol own goal.

I have a good feeling about tonight - it will be the first time we will see a starting line up and bench and go wow - its happening.

1:3 victory and cue damp squib protest march on Saturday.

Back the boys and make some noise. Come on URZ.

You'll both be depressed come 10pm. Another defeat coming up.

(I really hope you get to rub it in my face about how wrong I was, but alas, I just don't see it)

I’m looking forward to tonight, mainly because I’ve got covid so can’t go.

With any luck we will have a power cut too so I can’t watch it either.

I'd like to say I am, a part of genuinely is, but I was also optimistic about QPR in thinking we could pull off some great 3-2 away victory similar to Swansea back in November. Those hopes were quashed rather swiftly when we were 3-0 down at HT.

I'm not expecting such result tonight, likewise I'm not really expecting us to win either, but there is some sort of optimism given the managers comments regarding an improvement in February, players returning and regaining match fitness as well as just generally facing a relatively vulnerable opponent given how many goals they concede and when.

Think Drinkwater has looked a mix of a class above and full of basic errors all season. Sadly he cut out the moments of class some time ago to focus on really ramping up the basic errors.

It's not like his errors are forced, or caused by lack of quality around him. He's been the lack of quality.

So I'm ticking off the list of excuses that will be used by Paunovic when the inevitable happens tonight.
Wonder which one will be used in the interview. Probably should have done a poll.

Will it be -:
1) "We were the better team even though they had 28 shots on goal to our 1, we could have come away with the win."
2) "We were tired"
3) "We were superior in every department........for the first minute.....until they scored"
4) "It was injuries and covid......though can't remember who is out or when they will be back"
5) "I'm gonna f*ck you up Dellor if you ask me any questions about my position at the club"
6) "It's all my fault, I haven't got a clue and I'm resigning forthwith"

You forgot the "Our players suffered through lack of match practice and fitness" whereas it should be "The break gave us the opportunity to work with the players and you saw the benefits on the pitch tonight"

Wouldn't it be great to hear the last one?

Was telling my Bristol work colleagues this afternoon that it will be 1-3……it’s happening. And 33/1 so lump on!

I to am cautiously optimistic about tonight, we finally have a chance to put out a side that should be competitive enough to get us out of this hole we've dug!

However, when the team is announced an hour prior to kick off and if "Danny Drinkwater" is in the first eleven you will all hear my scream's from across the pond in Canada!!!! and any optimism i had will have been rudely snatched from my grasp by our Pathetic Excuse of a Manager!!!! (Lets hope he proves me wrong).
