In fairness, so does Troy Parrott and last I checked his actual career hasn't really taken off as expected?

Yeah we need to go back to traditional scouting. For years Reading would raid the lower leagues, Scotland and Ireland and pick up some bargains. The talent is out there if you look hard enough. We just need to go back to basics.

for all the age group teams we have

I thought at the time that Ince was referring to someone scouting the opposition rather than actual future signings . The sort of job that Chris Davies does/did for Rodgers and Bowen supposedly did for Gomes when he first joined us .

As badly as we feel we’re run I’d be very surprised if all scouting services for future signings have disappeared.
