Has JM said he's going to wash his hands completely of RFC when he sell up? I thought he said he would remain at the club in a reduced yet still significant capacity?

Would any new buyer let that happen? It'd significantly reduce the price JM could get for the club, and so I suspect that would make his mind up for him.

Yes, a cautionary tale indeed, except that Sir Steve Coppell would walk rather than work for a new owner who he didn't respect. Sir Steve is not in the game for money, he's a football man. He's found a club that meets all his needs, with little or no expectation, (and hence pressure). Frankly, if a new owner ditched Sir Steve after 3 bad results, I would be tempted to follow him and support his new club, rather than continue supporting a Chelski type of club.

I would imagine that Sir John would never sell the club to anyone who didn't have RFC's interests at heart.

But then, he IS a businessman, and a self confessed no lover of football, so who knows?

I'm sorry, but their actions in getting Pardew has stained their good name and have lost my respect forever.
