blade 1 Firstly we were loosing the game and not playing well keef was sent on to try and change things not to injure hunt.

History my arse, he doesn't send players on to "do" other people and i think the fact that we were 5/6 in the disiplinacy league shows that alot of the stuff about us being a physical side is a misconception

History re-written then!

I'm sure he is looking forward to some easy fixtures coming up. After Fulham at home it is:

Blackburn v Sheff Utd

Sheff Utd v Tottenham

Liverpool v Sheff Utd

Sheff Utd v Everton

Chelsea v Sheff Utd

Bolton v Sheff Utd

Sheff Utd v Newcastle

Man Utd v Sheff Utd

A very slim return from those 8 games IMO.

They then finish up with four games against the sides all currently down there (possibly five if Villa start to slide just a little bit more)

Sheff Utd v West Ham

Charlton v Sheff Utd

Sheff Utd v Watford

Aston Villa v Sheff Utd

Sheff Utd v Wigan

It is going to be close and I personally see them going down.

Where are the Warnock is a character brigade now then?

He's about as good for the game as two footed challenges from behind are.

Exactly. After some comlimentary remarks about Reading leading up to the game he had to undo all his good work by acting like that, returning everyone's opinion of him to even lower than what it was before. :|

Colin's blatant gesturing to his players to do Hunt was a disgrace; I, for one, hope that the FA finally come down hard on this apology for a football manager.

Sheffield United are a proud club and deserve better.

I also think (as was stated earlier) that he was winding Gillespie up as he came on; the first thing Gillespie did was to run into Hunt and catch him in the face with his shoulder; Hunt may have said something which led to the elbow that was so obvious, even the lino all of 4 yds away was compelled to flag for it!

Incidentally, did anyone else notice Gillespie punch Hunt as he was walking off??

Not sure if somebody's mentioned it elsewhere but deserves another airing.

Talk Sport commentator, in his summary of the game reported that, before the game, Colin oxf*rd said both teams could still go down.

Talk Sport commentator said......'he got it half right.'

Made me laugh anyway :D

Sheff Utd will be one of them, a slight gap is opening up between the bottom 5 and the rest now. I just don't see Wigan and one of West Ham/Charlton failing to get clear.

Very good of that nice Mr Lineker to point out that Colin has a reputation for sending players on to kick people.

Having watched MOTD, I'm in Sheff's court.

Ok Gillespie elbowed Hunt, but he really made a meal of it, hence the later reaction.

Warnock was saying that Sidwell's challenge was worse, which from his viewpoint would have looked the case.

Downes reaction was unnecessary, and Warnock did nothing wrong on the touchline after Downes laid into him, apart from a few harsh words Halsey's way.

Sidwell's challenge was worse than a elbow to the face? :?

Looking at Sidwells challenge on MOTD there's not really much wrong with what he did, his studs were down.

You can't do what gillespie did FACt even Warnock said he should have gone! Had nothing to do with Hunt making a meal of it, had more to do with Gillespie being an utter piece.

Downes got the wrong end of the stick and he's not quite as calm as SC, he'll get disciplined probably but i have no problem with what he did. I couldn't care less, Reading 3 Sheff Utd 1, someone should have told the BBC

I think if I saw Wally in the street I would have to buy him a pint of champagne and a cigar. To see Warnock shite himself on MOTD is worth the expense.

I'm sorry but that's just bullshit as well. Hunt went down more from the shock of the impact - it's a natural reaction, but he didn't stay down and make a meal of it at all.

And when he got a poke on the chin from Gillespie as the latter went off, he still kept his hands down.

Yes, he might be "our Robbie Savage", but he's a lot more disciplined than him and no drama quenn either.
