1) regardless of the length of drive - why when we are trying to get players (match) fit would we play against the reserves of the dirtiest team in the league who i pressume will only get in the first team if they prove they can hurt poeple in the reserves..............

I know, I'm surprised that Blackburn agreed to take that risk as well.

papereyes 1) Other teams organised other friendlies, issues due to U-21 games and the international week?

Can't believe that Wycombe, Bournemouth, Bristol City and Rovers, Walsall, Oxford, Swindon, Brentford, Brighton, MK Dons, Northampton, Aldershot, Aldershot Town, Reading Town, Reeves Rangers U12 and South Reading Vixens all had significant U21 call ups or other commitments....

But how many of those would have been able to give the side a decent test?

OK, Reeves Rangers, but who else?

The highlights are on the OS. I cannot beleive that they referred to the mystery man as A Triallist throughout the commentary

Perhaps the player on trial was worth going up to the North West to see and play

Just looked like some kid.

The defence looked a bit shaky in the first half and allowed far two many crosses into the box but Bozanic and Henry both looked very impressive again.

Does the commentary give any indication as to what position A Trialist is playing in?

Jimmy Floyd Hasslebaink perhaps

one of the standard reasons for a behind closed doors friendly is because the trailist would require a work permit. Without a work, permit players can't play in any match in which admission could be charged.

No, I just opened up the WSRL 'clever toolbox' of useless stabs in the dark :?

The "clever toolbox" is a recognised tool in the FC mindset, so this is naturally mitigated.
