Let's not forget that the pricing is set jointly by the two clubs, so it's not just down to RFC to decide.

RoyalBlue Come on Spacey - here's your chance to set up a poll on what people think would be an acceptable price & which would persuade them to buy a ticket.

Who knows, the club might even take a bit of notice?!

Why don't you do it yourself?

No time - and I thought you'd like the chance to add a couple of posts to your count! See it's got you to add two already!

fair enough, but surely both clubs would see some merit in an extra 5000 plus in the ground?

Put it another way. At £20-25, I'm tempted. Much more than £25 and there's no chance.

I refer you to my post of less than half an hour ago staing that there is no way Liverpool can justify NOT allowing reduced prices...

Indeed and IIRC tickets at Anfield for the game at the same stage of last seasons competition were priced ar £10 and 40,000+ turned up as a result. Given the smaller stadium here I'd hope for no more than double that even £15 given the game is on TV.

Agreed! Arsenal's match at Sunderland last season deomonstrated that if you price cup games right then crowds will turn up - let's hope the clubs have the sense to see this.

Tickets for Liverpool in the cup last season were £20 for adults, so hopefully common sense will prevail and tickets will be a similar price this time, especially with the game being on SKY.

But not Sky Sports, though

I am (seriously) hoping for the return of kids-for-a-quid with this match.

With reserve team football moving to Aldershot there's almost no opportunity for building up a younger fanbase.

Given that *most* seats will be occupied by existing STHs the club wouldn't lose too much revenue (plus there's the SKY cash) and it would be a nice gesture.

Come on Mr Howe.

It's now on the OS, although where I heard it is another matter !

Seemed an obvious TV game as soon as the draw was made.

Dirk Gently I have to agree - anything over £20 will be beyond the pale for this one.

Do you know if STAR will be making representations re. pricing for this fixture?

Exactly, was hoping it would be on Sky as its very rare I can get to midweek games, so this is good news :)

The club shouldnt charge more than £20, £25 at a push imo

With a 7.45 ko and a game which could go to extra time and pens leading to a 11 o'clock ko and a midnight exit from the car park it may not be ideal for KFAQ !

The club have said they want to be more creative on pricing so here is the chance !
£20 for an adult plus a junior.
£50 for 3 adults with kids at a fiver
£150 gets you 10 adults with kids at £3

I won't be tempted to go unless its a tenner.

being on Sky and being that I'm in London, its not worth the hassle to watch our out of form, out of sorts team in a mickey mouse cup competition that is our teams lowest priority for the season.

I suppose Reading will be giving Liverpool 4,000 tickets (whole of south stand) as its a cup game

I'd certainly hope so. I also think that the club will be leaving themselves wide open to public criticism from everyone, including STAR, if they do over-price this match.

I would imagine they will give them 2400 as usual but not put the rest of the South Stand on general sale.

Leaves options open and then if Liverpool want the rest they can have them, but if they don't then they can be sold to locals.
