loyalroyal4life Hopefully we can sneak a draw out of this 1.

1st 30 min was decent by us!!

I think we could see much more cards and perhaps a penalty cos Mr WALTON is something else

To be fair, you don't deserve to be down

Handsome Man Time to take the loss?

Substitute Kitson and Doyle/Murty to save them for another and take Hunt off to prevent the second yellow, in case West Ham players decide he needs another booing.

never time to take the loss.

Avon Royal For those of you that haven't seen the pictures, the red card is easily one of the top five worst sending off decisions ever.

Nailed on red disgraceful challenge

In which case we should see at least 8 red cards in the PL this pm.

Reading World commentary says that the sending off was deserved, it was 2 footed and players know the rules on that. Just because not all refs take such decisive action is irrelevant, Gunnarsson know its a red so shouldn't have done it.

Quite, Hoddle never got his shorts dirty (other than when he saw a hard challenge coming his way that is!).

stupid stupid stupid challenge and worthy of a card, but he got the ball and didn't touch the player. Yellow and a strong talking to should have been enough.

So where in the rules does it say that a two footed tackle is a red card?

Swings and roundabouts. Fortunate to beat Sunderland, lets hope we can get something out of this now.

We weren't fortunate to beat Sunderland - they were lucky not to be 3 or 4 down by the time they got their penalty.

I think most of the West Ham fans were as surprised as us to see Pratt Walton whip out the red!

As for Hunt's yellow, if Walton had any character, he would watch the video later and be big enough to rescind the card.

The problem is consistency with decisions. If it was worthy of a red then all similar challenges should follow suit, which is unlikely imo to happen

Guess Hunty's yellow can only be for dissent or something similar, If he'd have just walked away from Green he'd have got nothing, but he stayed and argued and shouted at the ref too.

Refs guidelines this season are that a 2 footed tackle is a straight red card

One of the angles made the tackle look like th classic two-footed tackle that has deserved a red card for many a year. No arguments for Gunnarson really.

I would have liked to see what happened to Murty's ankle again though.
