papereyes If he's free, then this is a no-loss move.

An extra keeper puts more pressure on Hahnemann and A Fed, while he'll want to impress to get that thrid keeper spot in Euro 2008.

A short-term contract and see where we are in the summer deal makes a lot of sense, if you ask me.

Why Short Term? If he is a quality keeper & Marcus is 37 years old, we would sign him to a longer deal. Federici is still young & Stack will be gone in the Summer.

Short Term deal for who could be a quality keeper would be ludicrous...?

I think the key bit is 'could be'. If he is genuinely quality, then its a long term deal all the way. Given that's there's still a small amount of uncertainty about his ability, I personally would err on the side of caution. The moment he shows his ability then we make a longer term decision.

Marcus is also 35, btw.

From the polish paper 'Przeglad sportowy' 'Sporting news' - it seems like he is flirting with a number of clubs. The Polish clubs Korona Kielce and Wisla Krakow want him, RG30 has said Roma are in for him. Apparently he is also interesting Galatasaray! It seems like we have some stiff competition!

Whatever it seems like Kowalewski requires two things 1) he wants regular football to compete for his place in the Polish 2008 squad 2) he wants to be visible for the same purpose.

If we don't guarantee hin first-team football I am almost certain he won't come to us. Looking at Coppell and his loyalty to Hahnemann I think this transfer is not going to happen...

I like the look of him - looks like a mentalist!

Hopefully might have a positive influence on the back 4 - I wouldn't want to make him angry...

Look at Hahneman's age. We have only given him a 1 year deal & he isn't exactly playing quality anymore is he?

Loyalty is bollox in Football. Yes he has been excellent in the past, but things move on & the club has too.

If this bloke is a good keeper, then step aside Marcus.

You may be right all I am saying is I have a feeling Coppell will not put him in right away. If he doesn't Kowalewski won't come - simple as...

Doubt if you'd get any free shirts off him.

He does look like a scary b*stard. Like a mixture between Lehmann and Lee Bowyer!

Not the kind of person you could have a quiet pint with even if you can speak Polish!
