Thanks for the state the obvious replies and pointing to irrelevant one off "so and so managed to beat so and so" replies, but the fact remains.

If this was last season we wouldn't be concerned at all.

So, a fair performance, fair result (barring joker Cisse).

So, take each game as it comes and judge fairly.

Why should the previous 7 games affect how we judge a separate single performance?? We can only play one game at a time and can therefore only be judged one game at a time. If we beat Boro 3-0 will people be complaining that we have only managed 4 goals in the last however many games and have only won 1 in the last 9? Probably.

Get a grip.

I've every faith that the last two games suggest we're stabilising onto standard form now and there's every likelihood we'll reap the rewards of it.

BR2 As 2 World Wars is obviously keen on history perhaps he should change his name to King Canute.

As the original spelling of Canute is Cnut I think that's a tad unfair!

at least teh second half of this season is more exciting than our promotion year

we were up by feb, the only excitement after that were the actual games that confirmed it vs leicester and derby etc
plus murtys pen and the pitch invasion etc

A fair point but our form hasn't haven't been consistent this season; we've saved our worst performances for the vital games (Bolton etc.) and our best for the Liverpools and Man Us of the league. If we follow 'standard form' we probably won't survive (we have to play 7 of the bottom 9 or similar in our last 11 games), we're running out of time to stabilise and recover the situation.

To say Cisse should 'never play again' is overdoing it as well surely?

We just lost at home to the 6th best side in the country.

This isn't about taking positives, it's about looking objectively at what happened. And I'll repeat. All that happened is that we (just) lost to a very good team - the 6th best in the country.

We also beat a top FOUR team at home 3-1 - so the question is....Whats changed then?

Obviously the post was alluding to King Canute sitting there believing that the sea would just turn around and go away just like the threat of relegation for RFC.
There is a case in life for the power of positive thought but that hasn't been working for Reading as all of them (especially Dillion)don't think we will be relegated and we keep losing so it's now up to the players to provide positive action rather than thought and f*****g well get stuck in rather than just let the opposition run at us (are you listening Sonko?) and then run straight through us.
