Coppelled Streets
Row Z Royal Can we agree a time please? A Facebook Event will be set up for this as well.

'greed.

I can do tomorrow night and I'll get in touch with The Post tomorrow and try and drum up some help and try and encourage others to come down.

If others can do the same, the more that ring 107, local rags, the better.

meridian news, south today???

Guys, please hold back here. Let's do it but find out when Coppell will be there. How much better will it be him there than just hearing reports about it.

Start an online petition?! It could be printed off in a couple of days to give to him?

With facebook links/Evening post/bbc berkshire we could get a lot of people to sign upto it. Hundreds might pursuade him he hasn't let us down but if you got, say, a thousand or more that would surely convince him the support was behind him to stay.

Coppell has always said he will do "what is in the best interests of Reading FC". Well, that is STAY!!

You soppy b@stards

24 hours after we have been relegated, SC hasn't come out and stated his absolute commitment to taking us back up. Does that not tell you that his heart is not in it any more and that it is better for all concerned if he moves on with our very best wishes?

Don't be daft, floyd. He's taking time to think about his future. While he's doing that, there can be a deafening silence which he could only interpret as indifference, or there can be a groundswell of positive support.

The indicative nature of some other comments have suggested otherwise.

His commitment to our promotion, to him, may be that he feels he's not the best man for the job.

do it im quite prepared to pay him to stay also or at least pay some of your bail money when you get arrested for refusing to leave his property until he agrees to come to the stadium to see us all!

The Goat was fed Brilliant idea guys - I'm definitely in. As much as I think Sir Steve is accountable I'd rather him than anyone else gets us back up there. Especially when you've heard the rumours I've heard. Tony Adams or Steve McClaren - yuk.
I'll bring the tissues, in case you cry......... AGAIN.

this is a great idea. steve cannot think he has let us down as we would not have even been in this position if he hadnt taken us to the prem. he is a legend and this club would fall apart if he was not at the helm and a 'sanchez or hoddle' came in.

i just really hope the trademark steve coppell both hand wave is not the last we see of him. im at bournemouth uni and getting the train back this morning listening to murts on bbc berks was so saddening. coppell has to stay and if there is anything in the slightest we can do we have to do it!

Thou Voice didn't know how new this was...

Chairman update: I want Steve to stay

Chairman John Madejski hopes that Steve Coppell will stay as manager of the Royals.

Coppell has confirmed to the Club he will take some time to reflect on events following our cruel relegation to the Championship at Derby on Sunday.

The Chairman told readingfc.co.uk this afternoon that he wants Steve to remain our boss.

He said, "I hope that Steve decides to stay with us. He has enjoyed great success here.

"On top of that, we know that the fans want him to stay, there can be no question about that, he has their full backing.

"I hope he takes that full support into consideration over the next few days.

"Everybody is hopeful that he will stay, and of course he has a year remaining on his contract with us and I hope he can honour that.

"I will be doing everything in my power to persuade him to stay, of course."

Just been down to the stadium as I had to get some headphones from Comet. There is a car parked in his space and it looks similar to a car I've spotted him in previously.
