ellpryjonrotherwick_royal Yet another controversial interview from Kits, but an insight I don't think we've had before...

The fact that we 'didn't freshen things up' and still haven't this year is a big worry. If that mentality still prevails we'll be lucky to finish mid-table in the Championship.
Re-hash of the Times interview

papereyesScarfaceNick Shorey my Lord! Well it's not telling us anything we didn't already know. The team fell out with each other and we played like donkeys as a result.
I think his comments about a lack of a leader are an indirect swipe at Coppell's management when we were up against it last year.
And again, perhaps not at all that unfounded ... ?
The idea of a bling/non-bling split makes sense. Please tell me we've kept the non-bling.
(Goes away, looks at team sheet. L. Lita ...)
buggerI don't think anyone could say that about our play in 2005/6. That was much more about flowing football.
There's a lesson there somewhere...
Except that teams did criticise us for being 'direct'. Southampton, for one, but I remember several comments of "they did nothing, broke quickly and scored". What we did well was absorb pressure then break down the wings before crossing. It was direct but ... measured? Precise?

that isn't "being direct", just playing on the break.
Bearing in mind that Saints were pretty ordinary when they came to our place and allowed us a run-of-the-mill victory, I'm not sure what that player must have been on.
What I find interesting in all this is just what the management were doing while the ‘Lord of the Flies’ meltdown was going on?

papereyes Kitson has a superb comment today. After his spat with Gullit at the start of last season, this one is almost as good.

If this link works, it is a fantastic interview with Kits - more than once he states he wants to come back........

He hasn't made a mistake at all.
