Well,Karacan was out muscled by almost every player he faced today. One or two passes went misplaced.

LoyalRoyalFan To be quite frank he weren't that great. He was caught out many times. Playing alongside Gunnarson didn't help. Alright he got into some good attacking and defensive posistions but there was not much else from him.

Agreed. I thought it was incredible we won 4-0 with that central midfield partnership. Jem's a good player, but still quite raw and with a tendency to give the ball away too much. And Gunnarsson was Gunnarsson, bless him...

By that you mean he won the ball a few times, set up some great attacks (including some great close play in the lead up to Shunt's goal), often defended very high up the pitch, got up in support of attacks, regularly got into the box, nearly scored.........

I take it that was what you were referring to??

As it happens, yes....except that there was also the slow-mo car crash foul (and yellow card) a mere 2 minutes after the ref had warned him for another foul, occasionally being mentally slower than everybody else and getting caught on the ball, and a tendency to drift around for periods wondering how to get into the game. Love the guy, but he can be a worry...

Have to say I was bricking it that he was going to be sent off too!

As the guy next to me said, "Bryn is a red card waiting to happen, unlike Harps who'll never get sent off as he never puts in a sodding challenge!"

im a big fan of karacan and his energy and his enthusiasm to play and do well for this club but if harps played the way he did today getting constantly muscled of the ball and misplacing passes he would get slated on here, he has a great future for us but on tuesday night if harps is back i would defiantley put him in with bryn. its such a big game and wolves have proved to have a very tough midfield.

Anyone for a Karacan/Matejovsky CM partnership once the latter is fit?

Some will say that lacks any real muscle, but to me that does not matter. Hunt can get involved, as can BK.

A Kebe-Karacan-Marek-Hunt midfield would be a joy to watch, even Strap can't deny that.

SCIAG Nobody believe me when I said he'd been at Galatasary, or when I said he was born and raised in London.

I don't think anyone actively challenged you on those fronts. My theory that he was Turkish simply came from the fact he played for Turkey under 19's. And seriously who cares about nationality anyway? We are all brothers...

A joy to watch at home but two points out of twelve away from home is not so joyful.
Think we need to play 4-5-1 away from home for now just to keep things tight.

Noel into the midfield if Harper isn't fit?

I dont know Sciag. Certainly Noel Hunt would be very unlucky to be dropped...but not sure about him in midfield.
If Harper's not fit, Doyle up front on his own with ermmm Cisse in midfield with Karacan and Gunnar. Kebe and Stephen Hunt on the flanks. Not great I admit but Coppell needs to look at the formation away from home.

If harper is to come back in then it should be for karacan

He was excellent again today. He's so good at just nicking the ball off people. Started the move for the first goal as well, before getting clattered.

Was very worried when I saw him go down but looked just like a nock on the knee cap which is very sore indeed. Another good thing about him as well is that he loves the club and loves playing for them so puts his heart and soul into his performances.
