Wasn't sure where to post this but Birmingham just conceded at home to Coventry - a goal scored by Clinton Morrison in the 53rd minute.
I hope the Sky Blues hang for what could be a nice little upset. It would leave the gap to 2nd place at just 3 points if it stays that way (not that I think it will but we can hope!).
Anyway, this may have a bearing on our final position...

yep Brum got beat tonight..I actually think the two teams at the top now are destined to fail, wolves just let in too many goals and Birmingham don`t score enough, we are far more impressive than both of them on present form

'greed, but like Coppell said, we need to be more consistent away from home and keep the home form the way it is. I honestly hope we win on Saturday, but it's a long 5 days away.

Reading, at the moment, are the best team in the division, probably by some way. Freakish defeats against Preston and Burnley. Convincing wins against Wolves and Bristol. Their worst recent performance was probably against QPR and they should have won that too. I reckon Reading will finish in the top 2.

If we play well, we should finish in the top 2. If we lose players in the January sales, or they get injured, or have their heads turned by greedy agents and meddling newspapers then we'll probably finish in the play-offs. I can't say fairer than that.

I quite fancy going to Wembley.

It will be us and Birmingham in the top two, not sure who will be first though. I can't see Wolves going the distance but will finish comfortably in the top six.

My bet for the play off winners will be Cardiff.

Worst performance was definantely against Charlton, but I agree with the sentiments nonetheless.

We are the best team in this division. If, every single week, the 24 teams in the league performed to their maximum we would be better than the rest in my honest opinion.

No team on the planet can be expected to play to their maximum every week though, so it's finding that consistancy that's important. It's still early in the season, and whilst I think Wolves' and Birmingham's form may stutter in the near future, I'm hopeful that we can take confidence from the win in Bristol and push on for the next half-a-dozen games and really put some pressure on at the top.

Through my eyes, there's no reason to expect relegation to League One within the next few seasons. Sure, it's a possibility, but even when Coppell goes I think we'll appoint someone who's right for the job.

Reading 3rd..so at this stage quite clearly they aren't the best team in the division yet. Reading on their day take some stopping in this league and are capable of beating (and easily beating) anyone in the division.

and when its not our day, we have the attacking threat of tupperware and the defensive stability of blancmange.

Thankfully, the latter, this season, have beem limited to games which I've attended.

Brum are away to Forest on Saturday and we are at home to Derby. Brum must be favourites at Forest, but with Forest battling for points you never know. Our home form should see us all right, but Derby are improving and could cause an upset. But... if Forest pull it off and we win we will go second for the first time this season.

Far too early to tell, a lot of football to be played blah blah blah.

We'll be top two no worries

Bill Oddie's Beard We'll win the league, at Carrow Road...

I still don't get that chant. Why will we do it for Simon Church, specifically?

I'm going to say top. I don't think there's a lot in it between us, Brum and Wolves, maybe Cardiff too. I don't think any team in this division has a centre back as good as Bikey, and something like that can make a big difference across the course of a season. Hahnemann is up there with the best in the league in his position, as is Matejovsky, as is Doyle, as is Rosenior, as are both Hunts, and possibly Armstrong too.
