Scrappy Tragic story. Used to see the lad when I was on my paper round a couple of years ago. Lovely boy and such a waste. Hopefully the club give him some sort of tribute. It's a parent's worst nightmare, especially on the run up to Christmas where the pain will be extremely hard. My view is that we should give him a minute of silence and show that we really are a family club and we really do care when we loose one of our own.

Stewart was also an only child making it very hard on his family. Played in a team with my cousin of the same age and became good friends.
My condolences are with all of his friends, family and anyone that knew him.
A tragic loss

Royal Boil I wasn't going to comment on this, but can't help myself. I completely understand the sentiments of the people on this board with regards to paying some mark of respect towards this tragedy. My lad is in the same year in the same school as Stewart McEwen was, and some of his friends were on that rugby tour, so there have been a lot of desperate texts flying around. There are two parents who are grieving now, and probably for the rest of their lives for their son, and yet there were idiots over on the Anything Else forum who were making smug jokes about it. They should feel utterly ashamed of themselves, and that board needs to be cleared out. If this is anything to go by, my only fear would be that Southampton supporters would do likewise, and that's a sad, sad reflection of modern Britain. This post is probably going to cause me grief, but right now I'm not sure that I care.
