chandog rosenior has been awesome so far this season
just because he played badly against southampton doesnt mean he should be out of the team. if that was the case we would have a whole new line up for the game tonight

murty is way past it and should only be used as back up imo

How do you and some of the others know that he is past it,when have you seen him play this season?
Murty was up against the likes of Ronaldo last season whereas Rosenior has been up against Bouazza,Bradley Wright-Phillips and the like which is a totally different ball game.
I think he gets dragged in too far and plays too close to the centre-backs and am amazed that our defensive coach hasn't picked up on it.
A good athlete but not a very good defender IMHO.

its not always the full backs job to mark the winger, when th eballs on the otherside he has to sit in and cover for CB as the other full back deals with the threat
only when the ball is played across field, towards his winger should he get back on him, and then, only if the winger hasnt tracked back.

Rosenior is the best right back in the division. Can tackle, has pace, runs all day long, got skill, and can cross.

Murty unfortunately wont play for the first team again.

If Rosenior gets voted into the divisional team of the year by his peers this season I will eat both my hat and yours. It says it all that Rosenior had one of his best games for us last night.....but still played his part in us conceding an important goal with his sloppy shanked clearance which ultimately ended up costing us a penalty.

gazzer, loyal royal I am getting more and more sick of his look up and punt down the line. He can't pick a pass into midfield and cost us two goals on saturday.

Gald Murty is back in training just in time

Brilliant.

So he hasn't got the all-round game of a Brazilian World Cup winner. That's why he plays for Reading FC in the Championship and not Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Do you consider Fulham got the better end of the swap then? I would have Rosenior in the side ahead of Seol. He's enthusiastic, got energy, and a bit of skill. Just needs a bit of development to become Murty's natural successor, that's all.

[quote="Sun Tzu"]It's just the traditional HNA inability to think in anything other than extremes.

We're either world beaters or relegation fodder, players are either the greatest thing ever or donkeys.
I heard this demonstrated by a couple of guys who had bought tickets to the game (as opposed to season ticket holders like the rest of us) One slagged off Rosenior as 'the worst defender he had ever seen'!! I thought if he went every game he'd have a different opinion but maybe not. I do think we missed Murty's leadership on Saturday and that is the first time at home I could say that this season.

im standing by Murty not playing for the 1st team again. Not thro lack of talent he's a great player thats obvious, i just dont think he will ever get fit enough to get in the team.

With regards to right backs in the championship, i really cant think of one better than Rosenior this season. Thats not me saying he's f'ing brilliant and hang around his doorstep every night, thats me saying there are not many good one's out there.

you'll certainly continue to be right if every team in the championship plays 3-5-2

from a neutral perspective, Rosenior was deffo my man of the match last night. With the exception of 1 or 2 others he looked the only one with a bit of class about him, rarely gave the ball away, got forward well and looked composed.

Yeah i agree Rosenior was MOM last night. I think he has the edge over Murty at the moment, he only lacks experience. As for best right back in the division, Rosenior can't be far off surely? Who is better?

Harry, that's the nicest thing you've ever said about Reading. What's happened? Are you ill?Are you a changed man? Why aren't you slagging us all off? It's just not right.

Doyle tries to do too much and loses the ball.
