Its the first time hes had a decent run in the team and his handling and distribution have been first class . Marcus should not automatically be recalled as soon as he is fit as Adam is playing so well.We are blessed with two superb keepers which is vital in being a successful team.

Bluey Fed,s all round game is perfect for 08/09 Royals, but how good is it to see a keeper actually hold the ball after a canon shot rather than panda it to anyone in the box.

A word of advice to you die-hard Royal supporters who are lucky enough to go every game, if you want ' The Fed ' to play the game of his life ( it could be Wolves, or the next 19 fixtures ?,) make a banner where its in good veiw of him saying:-

HEY FED JERVIS BAY SAYS G'DAY

I shit you not, he will be like 10 men in that goal.

Gunning for the top spot.

GO HARD YOU ROYALS

Explain and this banner is made for swansea

Agreed, I`m sure Hahnemann as much as he loves being number 1 is not so arrogant and big headed as to just assume he will instantly reclaim his spot when fit, this will be great for Fed as Marcus can and I`m sure will help him as much as he can.

he has done better than i expected since USA got injured. i thought we were in trouble but fedders has been as good (if not better) than marcus. his kicking and general distribution is miles better than marcus.

the way coppell normally does the team when there are injuries/ suspensions is that if the replacement does well and the team are winning he wont make any changes. hopefully he sticks to that and fedders will remain no1 until there is a reason for him to be dropped

It might be quite significant that Fed has had very little do since he's come into the side, despite the team not really performing as well as earlier in the season

He's grown in confidence and now comes and collects pretty much every cross coming in and around his six yard box and beyond. The back four infront of him seem to be doing an excellent job, but there must be something in the relationship between them and him thats contributing to him having a quiet time in pretty much every game

Exactly there must be things we don't see. He might be an excellent communicator and organiser of the defence.

USA is still great, but there's no harm in keeping Feds in goal until he messes up and then USA steps in again...

Marcus has been pretty hesitant coming off his line for years

Perhaps Feds greater mobility and willingness to sweep up behind the back four is giving them a bit more confidence or something

I still think Marcus is the better shot stopper but until Fed actually has to do some (apart from the camera save against Brum) he cant really be faulted

As you say a big fault in Marcus' game for years
I thought Fed was not that much better during this current run but I noticed a distinct improvement in Fed's confidence in coming off the line on Friday and as he grows in confidence the defence will get confident too
