W.A.S.F.C. David Kitson, what a profit, what a profit. I wonder if he still needs a chauffeur to get to the Mad Stad?

If he resigns from Stoke then my guess is they will want a large slice of the 5.5 million back.

Good interview; now he has to translate those sentiments onto the pitch for us.

As for will this make a move to 4-5-1 more likely, I would say it actually makes it LESS likely; all season we have been playing a system which has been crying out for a Kitsonesque striker alongside Doyle, and now we have the original back.

I don't see anyway we will play anything other than 442 with Kitson and Doyle up front (though not neccesarily from Saturday - Kits on the bench I would think).

If Dave Kitson thought Stoke was going to be the golden world for playing fototball where has he been.

Good business deal selling DK to Stoke with the fans knowing it was a mistake for the player himself.

Good interview, etc etc, but a clever one too where he's careful not to upset the Stoke fans. He's putting himself in a good position should either or both of the teams be in the Prem next season.

Err, well of course he would. Considering he is only here on loan, any footballer would be stupid to burn their bridges with the club that still owns him and is playing at a higher level

Would depend on how much of that they've actually paid...

but the 5.5 would have been in installments, dependant on ppearances, goals, staying up etc
we will have probably only received 1-2 million already
i suspect stoke would let him come back for a nominal fee just to save havin to pay the rest

So guys anyone know how much we have received roughly thus far for him?

Maybe if we have got £2mill and we sign him in the summer we could just waive the remaining fee of 3.5 mill ?

Not if the remaining amount is dependent on things like goals scored / finishing position.

I would suspect though that it would work out pretty much that we pay a nominal fee and any outstanding payments from Stoke are scrapped.

I thought it was well known that he was angry with the likes of Shorey who he felt hadn't played their full part in attempting to keep us up last season.

I have it on good authority that the carrot topped genius has only returned to the Mad to find and destroy Adolf Hinton.

Wrong thread this but we need a change and Kitson can help bring this about. Ipswich and Donny are must win games;

Hahnemann

Bikey Pearce Armstrong

Little Gunnarsson Matejovsky S Hunt

Kitson

Doyle Long

Totally agree but given how frequently we've been out played by teams playing 4-5-1, Coppell should have this option in his armoury, especially when playing a midfielder (Marek) who is so ill suited to being part of a 2 man central midfield..............................but I guess this might not happen whilst we have a manager who would rather lose a limb than depart from his treasured but dated format.

I hope neither Ipswich or Donny have any left sided attackers. We'd be destroyed ! The risk of essentially playing 3-2-5 seems massive and it's hard to see how such a system could be introduced at this stage of the season.

LOL @ Dave Kitson. Burned his bridges with Stoke in a typically self-righteous interview; will he be so in love with Reading FC when we don't go up  ? Had to laugh listening to his interview on Radio Berks this morning, hoping his return (and that of Glen Little) can give the team "a kick up the @rse". Dave Kitson rates Dave Kitson very highly!
