Alan Partridge you know Royalee, people might take your sometimes extreme posts a bit more seriously if you avoided calling anyone that doesn't agree with you a 'dickhead'. Just a thought mind.

Thanks for the heads up AP, you're one of the few posters on here who will sometimes have opposing opinions to my own but will provide a well-thought out argument. Unfortunately though, anyone who deems Coppell to have 'magical' powers and to be some sort of immortal genius needs putting in their place with an insult or two, even if purely out of my frustration at some people being unable to comprehend the very basics of football management and tactical theory.

USA
Rosenior Pearce Bikey Stretch
Little Cisse Jem (if fit) Marek Tabb
Doyle

Bench: Fed, Doobs, Kebe, Shunt, Long

Deeming Kitson to be unfit after yesterday!

What I expect is a team of SC favourites in no way set up to deal with the 451 formation that we will face....

If Murty plays expect Donny to go hell for leather down the left, some on here could beat an injured Murty.

Donny are a pretty football team that need treading on. Therefore I would go for a 'foots in' team with a bit of re-jigging to drop the players giving the ball to the opposition (Rosenior and Matejovsky).
4-5-1 as Birmingham won with that, and we must be able to put together a team as good as Birmingham.

Goal: It really doesnt matter, but Hannehmann for the experience.

Back Four: Stretch, Bikey, Pearce, S Hunt
Midfield: Karacan, Harper, Boris, Tabb (For the set pieces), Little
Up Front: Doyle

Bench: Federici, Kitson, N Hunt, Kebe, Kelly

My principal tactic would be to rough up the goalie and whoever is smallest in midfield in the first 10 minutes, before spending the next 80 minutes strolling the ball around the park like we own the place. Id mix it up with falling over 30-40 yards from their goal, and aiming every resultant free kicks onto the head of Pearce or Bikey. Id also expect everyone to steal about 5 yards on each throw in and to place the ball just out side the permitted area when taking a corner. If we get tackled, we should grab the ball on the ground, to convince the referee it was a foul. No quarter should be given to their ball boys.

Lets face it, Doncaster are SOFT.

AthleticoSpizz
The Prisoner USA

Pearce - Bikey - Cisse

Kebe - Karacan - Matejovsky - Harper - Tabb

Kitson - Doyle

Subs: Duberry, Gunnarsson, Little , Long, N Hunt

You can't start with Gunnarsson anymore - takes one of your sub options automatically as he would need to come off, but he is a great holding sub if something needs protecting
Armstrong has done nothing wrong, but does not offer enough in attack
S Hunt needs to find his head - we are all slating him, he is his own worst critic and will be hating this (in a vicious circle way). needs a rest
Matjevosky is clearly the most creative player at this club. I would expect Kitson to play deeper from Doyle and Karacan to protect the back 3
Little's guile will expose tired defences and I suspect he is a cameo role player now
I will get slated for 3-5-2 but the time for playing for a draw is gone now - might as well get no points and ask the question than be taken on the back foot - doncaster will pass lots but have little end product. five in midfield will stiffle that
I guess nobody thought we would miss Ingi so much - one of the best defensive records has turned into one of the worst
on what evidence this season do you honestly base this on?

I'm going to agree with Royalee here. You really are a moron. Marek may not be our most effective or consistant player, but he is most certainly our most creative.

Kebe Karacan Cisse Tabb
Doyle NHunt

Back earlier in the season we had Karacan and Bikey in the team and we were destroying teams.

Our only victory in this dyer run was, I believe, the only game Nunt has started. He and Doyle were on fire earlier in the season. Put him back in. Bikey must play, he's our best defender. Midfield, who knows? Time to give SHunt a break is my thinking. Get Matejovsky in there for his set pieces and passing. Cisse is probably his best foil, seeing as realistically Coppell won't let Karacan near the side. So here's my line up:

Fedders

Rosenior Peare Bikey Armstrong

Little Matejovsky Cisse Kebe

Doyle Nunt

Bench:
USA
Kits
Long
Bryn
SHunt

We will probably get:

Hahnemann
Rosenior
Duberry
Pearce
Armstrong
Little
Harper
Cisse
S. Hunt
Doyle
Kitson

I think N. Hunt needs to partner Doyle though.

If everyone was fit and not on loan, I would go with:

Fed
Kelly
BK
Pearce
Stretch
Henry
Siggy - The next big thing at this club, Crewe fans are raving about him atm.
Marek
Tabb
Long
Doyle

If we're not going up, which is how it looks atm, then we might as well prepare ourselves for next season by getting some of the younger players like Kelly, Henry, Siggurdsson and Karacan ready for next season.

Federici
Rosenior(with strict no hoofing instructions) Pearce Bikey SHunt
Little Harper Cisse Tabb
Kitson(for 60 mins) Long

If Doncaster turn out to have a fantastic right winger then bring Armstrong on quickly, otherwise, improve the passing by unfairly leaving the man of the season out for a bit.
Harper and Cisse means we have gone full circle in midfield, but Gunnarson can only manage about 15 minutes at full pace and Marek isn't very good. Is Karacan still around?

Tactics: All the defenders have to do is give the ball to Harper or Cisse. All they have to do is play it wide. No hoofing. Just sensible passing should do.

Isn't that what he's been having for the last 18 months?
