I'm thinking that the probably move for our Newcastle game would be to 5:30pm, hopefully.

Thaumagurist* When do you think that the TV companies will have made their choices - the sooner the better so some of us can start making plans....

Don't get too excitied - no cheap Travellodge deals in Newcastle for that night - it's a Saturday in August!

Oh, good point. :(

There must be some cheap B&Bs around....

West Brom have Toon for the first game so can see that being on telly which would probably mean RFC Toon won't be unless Sky take the Baggies game. Are the BBC showing live games?

URZZZZZZZZ Leicester away almost to the day of when we got promoted. Could won't be an omen!

I was about to say that.

Its, what, 2 days out?

London games on Tuesday nights ftw.

2 hr cheap trains to London >>> 2 hr not so cheap trains to the Midlands.

Just answered my own question
The BBC will screen live Football League matches from 2009 for the first time since the foundation of the Premier League after striking a joint deal with Sky that will bring 10 live Championship matches a year and the Carling Cup final to terrestrial television.

The three-year deal worth £264m is a major boost for the Football League, which has more than doubled its TV rights revenue and will enjoy the increased exposure brought by terrestrial coverage. Sky will screen 65 exclusively live league matches every year, the play-offs including all three finals, the first five rounds of the Carling Cup and the Johnstone's Paints Trophy.

Row Z Royal Last year I was a bit rude about asking for the fixtures in .csv format.

This time I'm going to try to do it myself (but if anyone gets it done quicker then I'd be grateful).

I'm not sure why you want.csv, but you can copy the Honob fixture list and paste straight into Excel. That's what I always do. A litle bit of tweaking on column widths and date formats and you're sorted.

To import into my Outlook calendar so that people don't arrange meetings when I'm going to midweek games.

Done.

I don't know how to host it online, but I can e-mail people with it if they want their Outlook Calendars to have the fixtures in.

NB: obviously the fixtures are subject to change. Carling Cup & FA Cup fixtures were taken from the Football League website and another source that "looked about right" as the FA website didn't have them on there.

Very difficult opening month I must say. If we're in a strong position I'll already be getting carried away. On a different note, delighted we have one home game on the 8th before I go off to Hong Kong for the year not long after. A real headache if we'd been given trips to Newcastle, Boro, Sheffield or some other team that far away.

Having re-located to near Burton, the following "away" games are now within an hour for me: West Brom, Coventry, Derby, Forest, Leicester.
90 minutes now takes in Barnsley, Sheff U, Sheff W, Donny, Scunny, Peterboro and, at a pinch, Preston and Blackpool.
2 hours will now be for home games, but also possibly QPR & Watford - obviously swings for the above roundabouts.
2-and-a half hours should see me in Bristol, Cardiff, Newcastle & Boro - some gains, some pains.
3 hours will take in Swansea, Ipswich and Palace - no change there for Palace, obviously...
4 hours plus to Plymouth...plus ca change and all that...

I'm actually quite pleased with that - not too bad a run-in for a promotion challenge and I like the timing of the Newcastle game as I think it'll take time for them to sort themselves out properly before they improve in the latter part of the season.
