I would be really dissappointed to see the Doyler go but you can't blame the guy ... tho unfortunately as a result I can see us ending up with Shunt still on our books as I could only see him going as part of a "package" ... and why wasn't there a proviso put in Shunts new contract to the effect that, if we didn't win promotion, his wages would be reduced to a more reasonable level ... a real bit of bad business in my mind ... should have got what we could for him in January and recalled Henry :x

Reading- now selling their best players to a team we beat twice and should have finished above in the league.

How the mighty have fallen.

It may have escaped your notice (most things normally do) but we don't have a choice in they activate the release clause.

So you beat us twice? Blackpool beat Blues twice - so what?

Please also explain why you SHOULD haved finished above us - it's points that matter, not squad/players/where we were last year etc

Fvck off wycombe royal.

My point still stands.

Had we done our jobs properly last season, we would not be losing doyle to wolves, a club we were favourites to go up instead. Poor show.

Unless I'm very much mistaken (and that is entirely possible) FNR is about as much a Reading supporter as you are.

Can't see Boyd leaving Rangers now they're in the Champions League proper, hwoever it's fair to say I'd love to have him at Reading. He has a phenomenal goalscoring record at club and international level.

He's not a 'Reading' player. Goater was like him, offered sod all unless you create loads of chances. Boyd would never fit in at this club.

The only reason it might be stupid is if there is a decent chance he could move to a club bigger and better than Wolves this time round.

Just a smattering of punctuation might make this readable.

But then he has to balance the fact that he is less likely to be a regular starter with a bigger club, and in a World Cup year not playing regularly could jeopardise his chances for South Africa.

Wolves are more likely to stay up, than we are to go up.

Season in Prem or season in Chump?

Hmmm, let me think.

Totally agree, there is a lot to consider when looking at any move. I was just pointing out to Harry that there are possible reasons why a move to Wolves might not be Doyle's best option. All transfers are a bit of a gamble in the end though.
