Hoop Blah I'm not Long's biggest fan, but I think he's proven to be at a higher standard than Church at the moment.
He's done alright at Championship level, looked a bit out of place but still scored a few in the Premiership, and has broken into his national squad.
Church has had a few loan spells where he's started alright but not scored many goals, and has made two appearances for his national team in some pretty meaningless friendlies against smaller nations in the summer when a lot of other players weren't being involved.
I'm not sure how you can say they're at the same level, but as you say, Church is still a couple of years behind Long (although has probably been playing football for longer and getting serious professional coaching for much longer) and could still turn out to be the better player.

SteveRoyal I think everyone is forgetting that Church is 2 years younger than Long, and yet they're both on about the same standard.
Also, on Wiki, someone thought they'd be funny: "Recent speculation surrounds Shane Long with a move away from Reading FC. Coventry City are said to be monitoring the situation and a rumoured £2 million bid is set to be offered to the Royals."

That is funny, surely £2 would be more believable.

And Church's goal was a penalty won by Kebe. In a fairly meaningless friendly. Try crowing at in December, if you can't wait until the end of the season

Ian Royal Right, well I look forward to you reporting after every single match then. Perhaps you should start your own thread so it's all in one place.
