Those who want Harper to go are oxf*rd idiots. We need his experience this season, we have a lack of it in the squad, i agree sometimes his peformances are pretty mediocre, but that was in Coppells system when we basically did not use the central midfield. Harper should fit perfectly into Rodgers new look team. He also has Premier League experience, could be handy next year..

Keown, Ferdinand and Duberry had experience, doesn't mean they benefitted us. We've got plenty of experience with Ingimarsson, Gunnarsson, Tabb and Noel Hunt thanks. Harper can piss off.

I can totally guarantee that this 'rumour' is absolutely 100% true.

A fee has been agreed with Wolves for Harps, although I do not know the exact amount.

Excuse the cynicism but how can you guarantee?

Oh well, somebody with an HNA username says it's true, so it must be.

Fair comment mate, but without totally saying how I know, all I can say is that I heard it from somebody very involved in this possible deal.

A regular and respected poster on here will be able to vouch for my credibility on this one.

Always makes me laugh when people say they "know somebody very well connected with the club/deal" etc but then fail to reveal their source

Basically they heard it from somebody down the pub and if it comes true they look like some sort of well connected dude but if it turns out to be false they slip away into the unknown avoiding all contact with the thread they posted on.

I'd have thought it was more along the lines of their source doesn't want to be named on the web as it will get them into trouble.

Because they're friends and trust that person?

TBF to Doobs, he more than repaid the trust given to him by the management. The other two, whilst at the twilight of their career, were risks that failed on the pitch but probably helped the rest of the squad at times us mortals cant see or appreciate.

Oh, and don't be so dismissive of a player willing to do whatever it takes to put on the reading shirt.

PS. Noel Hunt experienced? lol scrapping the barrel a bit there...

Harps leaving = a sad day for RFC. I think he will be good under the new management.

If he leaves there's only Nhunt that can go on the back of my shirt.

People saying Harper should leave are clueless. He's a big player for this club and always has been.

He hasn't been a big player since 06/07.

Legend, but no longer much use. £2million is daylight robbery.

Ivar is not likely to play for a while, gunnarsson isnt and should not be a first team regular, and i would hardly call Jay Tabb and Noel Hunt experienced.

Yeh but Keown and Ferdinanad had no talent left.

One of Harpers better games last season was away at Doncaster when we played 4-5-1, because he saw alot of the ball and had options once on it. Also had the chance to break from midfield more, although you probably was not there, as you sound like a plastic

Well you've got two people saying that they know this is happening and I'm not one to make stuff up for a laugh. My source is a Wolves scout.

More than anything, respect for your friend(s) that give you this information in the first place. If they are a friend, they're surely more important than proving yourself to a host of user names on a football forum.
