That is because they believe that Coppell had vast amounts to spend, they ignore the fact that two players we did offer a good fee for said we were a tin pot club and did not want to come here.

We are still the same, we have a chairman who finds the money that players get obscene, and he has said so on more than one occasion, it is how it is Mr Mad, pretending otherwise is foolish. Still we had a couple on 30k a week for a short while, so we think, cant see that being the case for a long time.

At least they covered their costs while with uis, and with interest.

We'll continue to slowly build as we always have done. And the wages we offer would continue to increase as the size of the club increases (if? whatever, I'm confident it'll happen).

What those attempted signings showed was that we still had a way to go to be attractive to players who would secure us in the premiership. We haven't been on the "map" for long enough.

What would your reaction be if you were a good player and a club you'd never heard of (or associate with the lower divisions) asked you to sign for them?

Hull have the same problem, trying to do too much too quickly and not being able to get the signings they really wanted. It may be even worse for them, because they do their business in the open and potential signings have seen failure after failure.

Schards#2 The original post ignores the fact that any player who shows the ability to hold his own in a top ten premiership side will be sold within a year of showing that promise.

I would stake any amount of money that the achievements of Coppell in both Championship (1st with record points) and the Premiership (8th) will never be bettered unless we were bought out by a multi billionnaire who throws unlimited money at it. Yet, unbelievably, Coppell seems a hate figure for some village idiots on here.

Oh and Ian Royal, shame on you.

+1
on both points

FiNeRaIn I don't wish death on anybody- I'm the bigger man not to get riled over a petty football forum. You lost your composure, made a silly comment joking or not and look a bit of a tit as a whole because of it. You might get a few usual anti-finerain suspects chipping in with their two cents claiming they agree, etc but I wouldn't expect anything less. HNA really brings out the retard in people.
Off to bed, enjoy your night cap :D

You can't really consider yourself the bigger man if you're taking IR's drunken tirade seriously. Can you?

I mean come on.

JR - A manager who is a Reading fan. He will not leave for money or just because the other team is 'bigger'
I doubt Brendan Rogers would turn down a call from Chelsea.
