roberto_11 Mooney >> Church

From what I have seen thus far.

You've seen a lot of Mooney, clearly?

The jury is still out on Church. I haven't seen anything from Church to make me think "Yes, he's the one". I'd rather we played Noel Hunt, as he's scored a few goals. I'd even rather Shane Long.

Re David Mooney, I saw him play against Burton and I must say he's got an eye for the goal, but overall, I'm not sure. I thought Bignall did more work than he did.

Yeah I been watching as much as I can, and last year when he was at Norwich for a bit. I think hes a bit like Cureton, maybe with a bit more strength on the ball. He definately has goals in him and will always find a way to score, which is what we need right now. He probably doesnt fit in as well with the 4-3-3 style due to being a bit lazy off the ball.

I can only think that Rodgers believes Church offers more all round game which fits in with the way he wants to play. But Church hasnt got a great goal record and doesnt seem to actually contribute ANYTHING thus far, from either a wide or central position. Early days though so we will see.

Maybe a Robson-Kanu, Mooney and James Henry front 3 would be worth a go. We know Henry has a good final ball, and Robson-Kanu has looked lively so far.

WTF?!? Church has never been to Norwich (and I checked soccerbase!!). You must be confusing him with either Lita or Mooney. Both of whom have been on loan to Norwich last season.

WTF?!? Deathy asked if he'd seen alot of Mooney, R11 answered 'yes'. I think it's you who is confused here not him. Maybe he should have quoted back Deathy's question for you to save you having to actually read and comprehend the thread.

PS: Edited because I hadn't fully read and comprehended the thread.

Harpers So Solid Crew Simon Church is a tap in forward, nowt wrong with that at all.

A tap in forward? In what way?

He's never really played as 'a fox in the box' type predator for anyone I've seen or heard about. He's a hard working forward yes, one that has more often than not played out wide and has a pretty poor scoring record unfortunately.

I can't see why you think he's a poacher or a 'tap in forward' though...
