The Real Sandhurst Royal 3 good strikes for the hat-trick.

Henry proved his credentials at Stoke in the league cup last season yet he was never given a chance last season nor this.

Reading' loss.

hes had plenty of chances, and like has already been said, hes looked average, andd gets on my tits

nothing would make me happier than if he stayed at millwall all season got kloads of goals, and came back next year witha better attitude

but he needs that time at a lower level to progress IMO

to suggest he is the answer is laughable

IMO of course

Thats the thing. Compared to others, he really hasn't had much of a chance.

It's worth remembering, if it hasn't already been said, that Henry is playing well in a league below us. Still, bodes well for next season....

He reminds me of James Lambert. I think Henry is talented but his attitude doesn't help.
However Rodgers is treating him in the same way that Burns treated Lambert.

The boy needs a strong disciplinarian manager to kick him into shape.

Did anyone see Henry's goals? Caught them this morning on that godawful BBC Football League show. All I can say is that Tranmere need rid of their number 5 and goalie pronto.

How the hell do you know this. Do you train with the first team? Surely sending him out on loan to a lower division is telling him to improve or he won't make the first team.
I suggest you do exactly what your name defines.

All credit to Henry, but I've just been watching the goals and, frankly, they were gifts. He wouldn't score many like that in this league. On the other hand, he did send over a lovely cross for another goal, and we could do with some like that.

I am delighted he has signed. I had a feeling we were easing him out, but this shows we have faith in a very talented player. He was blocked from playing in the cup too, which shows we are considering him for this season.

I think we could do a lot worse as an impact sub and better than having 3 defensive midfielders on the bench

You mean like most of Madjeski's current cut price squad that is trying to produce a miracle at the stadium that bears his name.

What we would do ourselves for a few more players able to convert gifts into goals!

If he can put in some more performances like Norwich at home last season then he'll be a good player for us, if not a great supersub.

He's got the ability, he's shown it with some good performances at Millwall, including one premiership quality strike. I think he'll get better with age and once he starts putting a bit more effort in for a longer period of time.

I've scored one premiership strike, thats the whole point, one. Everyone gets lucky.
By all means i like the player, away to Brum last year he did a very impressive job, i was surprised he didnt push on, but one glory strike a player does not make.

Scored again today. Only at Reading would a home grown player with very obvious talent not be given an opportunity to develop in our own struggling team and be shipped out on loan whilst the supporters rubbish his efforts elsewhere . I'd rather watch Henry learn his trade on the wing for Reading than suffer mediocre journeymen like Jimmy Kebe instead.

But Henry hasn't really impressed at our level. Both McAnuff and Kebe have it in them to terrorise championship defences. Both have won us games this season. I'd love Henry to come good, and he's undeniably got an eye for goal. But is he really good enough to oust either of them? I don't think so. And we don't have room in our low confidence dodgy team right now for two wingers anyway.

This ^^^

And one thing I wouldn't say about our wonderful Keb-meister is that he is mediocre!

What retarded logic, lets leave a player out as we don't like his celebrations.
