The only world class model Bullivant had was in the back of his cab on a run from Heathrow, whereas Brendan's world class model exists only in his mind.

At least Bullivant never made any lofty claims about his own ability. I also totally disagree with whoever said Bullivant has the better squad. Bullivant inherited a shit squad and had about 2 weeks to strengthen and still managed to bring in Primus, Hodges and Asaba. It was in the January transfer window that it all went a bit wrong. Rodgers inherited a half decent squad, let better players walk away to rival teams, had three months to bring in players, brought in 1 player and then panic bought in the runup to deadline day.

However, both seem to have mastered the hangdog look of a man without a clue, living on borrowed time.

It's naive to believe that he didn't know this would be his brief when he took the job on so his near inactivity in the transfer up until deadline day was also down to the powers that be then as well was it? You' d think that if he knew he had to shift on the high earners, he'd have been a bit more proactive in the run up to transfer deadline day and bought more than a centre back and a left back on loan, two of the less pressing positions for strengthening. He's had money to spend and bought garbage. That is on his head alone. He still inherited a half decent squad, one than the one Bullivant could have only dreamed of having yet he refuses to play the more able and experienced players with any regularity.

I won't even begin to judge Rodgers until half a season has passed. Even though I'm itching to say a big fat "told you so" to all the BR lovers who wanted him him, I can't until he's presided over enough games. 14 games is simply not going to provide a fair reflection.

13 games = statistically significant sample. It is 28% of the season. Shit effort.
