I will translate the title of the story:

Gunnar Heidar Thorvaldsson loaned to Reading.

The rest is not relevant. Just the Esbjerg sporting director saying it was the best solution for all parties.

EfB has leased the Icelandic striker Gunnar Heidar Thorvaldsson, to the English club, Reading FC, who are fighting hard to get away from the bottom of the second-best number and have a favorable impression of the 27-year-old Icelander during a træningsophold.
- Gunnar has in the last half season was far from SAS League team, where we found a fixed constellation with Tim Janssen, Soren Rieks and Jesper Lange, as he has failed to manifest itself over. He lies in the heavy end of our pay scale and will not play another team football. Therefore, we have found a solution that is beneficial to all parties, says EfB's sports director Niels Erik Sondergaard.

The rental period begin formally 1st January 2010 and lasts six years. Reading has an option on Thorvaldsson which club to use, if cooperation is progressing to the satisfaction of both Parties. Gunnar Heidar Thorvaldsson can start training immediately, so he keeps its shape and may be in play for demanding tasks early in the new year. First comes to visit Liverpool in the FA Cup 2nd January, and then meet Reading top teams in the League Championship, Newcastle United FC in a league showdown 9th January.

Gunnar Heidar Thorvaldsson came to EfB in the summer of 2008 with a fine resume. He was discovered by Swedish club Halmstad, when he had scored 33 goals in 55 games for the Icelandic IBV, and he succeeded in the 2005 season to become top scorer in Allsvenskan with 16 goals. The following year he switched to the Bundesliga club Hannover 96, where damage and a quick replacement of the sports management stood in the way of a breakthrough, and he was leased to the Oslo club Vålerenga in 2007. He had the status of Icelandic A-national team player since he came to EfB on a three-year contract, but the team space disappeared with the lack of playing time in EfB, where he has scored three goals in 26 matches.

Landlord by Gunnar Heidar Thorvaldsson EfB not triggering increased activity of the winter transfer market, and efforts will continue to reduce costs in the form of salaries for players on the periphery of ligaholdet. This applies, among others, the Canadian defender, Adrian Cann, who EfB are in the market to find a future employer.

EfB included in this month a three-year contract with AaB-player Thomas Gaardsøe who is a candidate for one of the key spots in the defense or midfield.

It's supposed to only be a loan anyway. And if this (Rodgers out) has been on the cards for a while, which it inevitably has, then it's obvious we want him in anyway. If McD is in charge, then he'll have identified the guy, so it makes sense.

Last time we appointed from within we got turned about pretty well after a bit of trouble, maybe that is the route to go down. Who knows...

I sure hope this still goes through, we'll probably know more tomorrow (Icelandic press will be ALL over this, I'm sure) He's been on the club's radar for so long, he'll come in BR or no BR.

Little blurb thing from the paper said:

Passed a medical at Reading

Gunnar Heiðar Þorvaldsson underwent a medical today with the English Championship side Reading, and passed it. Gunnar Heiðar confirmed this in a conversation with Fréttablaðið yesterday. He expects to sign a deal tomorrow. "My agent is working on the contract, they are clearing up the last few details." Gunnar Heiðar said.

All the yesterdays, todays and tomorrows in that are confusing me, but more to follow I'm sure.

I have a feeling this guy is going to come in and have the same sort of impact that Robin Friday had all those years ago.

Not as good or as charismatic, but equally as effective.

Thor is going to hammer in those goals.

A light in the darkness of all this gloom. This guy is going to cheer up all us long(?) suffering fans.

You heard it here first.
