floyd__streetesandman I've said things about players before and if they'd heard I would expect some abuse back, in fact I'd be disappointed if they didn't because it would show that they didn't care about the club. Forget the "he's a professional so shouldn't rise to it" bull, he's a human being

I always love the opinion which people offer in this argument 'how would you like it if someone turned up to your work and gave you abuse' asIf you work in the entertainment industry. The Reading supporters who attended today will have paid the largest part of £25 for the privilege of sitting on scaffolding and - from what I understand - witnessed their team failing to show up, so they are quite within their right to give out a bit of stick and not expect a bit of lip back from overpaid individuals, especially overpaid individuals who have barely performed in the last couple of months.

sandman I can see your problem with my point of view though, talking common sense is a strange concept for the repetitive luddites who inhabit this forum.

Royal Lady I suppose those who are bemoaning HH's comments would also prefer that the crowd don't shout "man on" etc or berate the ref when he blatently makes a mistake - after all, it's not for us to comment.

As both suggested actions are pointless, yes. Is the ref going to say yeah your right I'm wrong penalty? Shouting man on just makes player's tense up and they invariably lose the ball by playing a rushed pass.
Lets all agree to disagree and let the people that were actually at the game comment on it.

susieroyal I get abuse shouted at me in my job (teaching) and I ignore it. Not difficult.
When I get criticised (as HH did to Jobi), I listen. And then ignore it
Shouting back at a fan who has criticised him, just makes Jobi look an idiot. Playing better is a far better response.
If HH had shouted some shit about his family or personal insult, you could understand a player shouting back.

The Quiet Man Thorvaldsson 3 looked like a guy that has very little recent match experience - rusty and lacking in touch
