He never gets a mention. But for the season we had him fit, Steve Brown was inceredible.

Ark Royal
Gordons Cumming
Eastkentroyal Tommy Youlden

Beat me to it!

Who were the 2 centre backs playing during our record breaking defensive record?

Paul Bennett and Martin Hicks.

Of the two then it must be Martin.

Bikey when he played smart
Sonko when he played at the top of his game
Ivar for his consistency
Mills as the newcomer

Dorset-Knob 'He's our Polish international' Dariusz Wdowczyk, was a class act and Mrs W was a honey too! 8)

Da ree us Wdowczyk Da ree us Wdowczyk Da ree us Wdowczyk Da ree us Wdowczyk (sung to what shall we do with the drunken sailor)
He was the bees knees and our best centre-half IMO.

Motown My top 5 in no particular order Ingi, Primus, McPherson, Hicks and Dariusz

Just wish we had kept hold of Primus for a bit longer

Good choices, I'm glad someone finally mentioned McPherson.
Although my partnership if I could pick ANY two would be Hicks and Williams. My Best loan centre back would be Upson, no contest for that really. I would also give an honourable mention to Adie Viveash who I though was solid and dependable, plus he scored a pen in the league cup against West Ham.

^^^ The above. All 3 exuded a certain amount of class and confidence and just made the game look so easy.

Dariusz Wdowczyk. Not just our best ever centre back, but rated the best footballer at the club by his team-mates.

In my time

Wdowczyk just for pure class
Williams because he was a local boy and just excellent and came back when we needed him.
Ingimarsson because he's been consistently excellent during our most successful period.
