LoyalRoyal22 Just to have my say on the Henry situation. Last season away at Brum, he started the game and looked quality, showed his potential. I really rate the lad, i hope we keep him and he could be a good squad player for us next season. If we gave him a run in the team, i dont think he would dissapoint. Even if he is medicore like Robson-kanu/Karacan, its better having your homegrown players as squad players, rather than journeymen, Brooker/owusu etc

LOL at Karacan being 'mediocre' !!!!

I have to laugh at some of the comments on the radio and here where there is disappointment we did not score more. That was as complete a performance as one could see and considering the performance of their keeper we may well have won by more.

My choice for MoM would go to Jay Tabb. He was instrumental in everything good about us.

The support was good too - but then again, it is easy to make noise when we are 6-0 up.

Just my two pennies, I don't post a lot but I like reading other peoples' thoughts, so I thought I'd share mine.

A Fed - Obviously a quiet game for him today, not a lot I can say.
Ryan Bertrand - I don't care if we blow our entire transfer budget on this lad, he's a different class.
Alex Pearce - Not a fan of the lad, can't put my finger on it, but he was solid today against a weak opposition. He does well against the long balls like Peterborough were playing today, he has a good head on him and is quite happy heading these back to where they came from. I'm less convinced with his ability with the ball on the floor.
Zurab - Top man, loved the arm pumping :D
Grifter - Class as ever, we could do with signing him up as well.
Tabb - My MOTD. An absolute pest as ever, and some delightful through balls today. Great engine on him, been very impressed the last few weeks.
Howard - An excellent game again from him, some great long range passing and tracked back well. Deserved a goal.
Kebe - Should have had a hat trick, if he can work on his finishing he will be Premiership quality.
McAnuff - Played much better than he has done in previous weeks. Some greats skills on the ball, he should be given license to roam a bit more and see more of the ball. We seem to be playing a lot through Kebe at the moment (rightly), it would be nice to see Jobi with more of the ball.
Sig - A great job as ever. Sometimes I think he needs to lift his head up a bit and look for a pass a bit further away, but this is a minor quibble.
Long - I think he had a really good game today. He worked really hard, pulled off some really great flick ons and his movement was great. Took his goal well too.

Gunnar - Would like to see him stay another season. Great old warhorse.
Karacan - Ran well when he came on. Looks less lightweight than he did at the start of the season.
Henry - I was impressed with the crosses he was banging in. Would like to see more of him, I think he has more of an end product than HRK, and I can forgive his lack of pace if he can swing balls like that in from deep.

10 out of 10 for Brian McDermott, he has renewed my love for this club and I will most definitely be renewing my season ticket for the £50 discount.

I make no claim to being a football tactician, but I was intrigued by the formation Peterborough were using.
There formation appeared to be:

Decent goalkeeper
[Slalom arrangement]
Target Man

The slalom arrangement I refer to is that they seemed to have quite a lot of players filling the midfield area, whose main purpose was to act as an obstacle course so that our players - and Jay Tabb in particular - could run rings round them at high speed.

Their keeper - despite letting in 6 - actually looked pretty good, and produced some stunning saves in the first half.

LOL at Peterborough making a tactical substitution after 18 minutes - that would be the Exodus exodus then.

This season is ending too soon.

I thought the posh keeper looked good, their captain too.

I think once Federici decides to take up one of Real Madrid, Liverpool and Arsenal's offer of where to sign, we should make a bid for lewis.

To be fair their goalkeeper made some great saves and kept the score down.

Apart from Barry Fry winning the golden gamble, it was a pretty good day.

What a brilliant team performance that was. Every player contributed to the victory and to see the players chasing every ball and harassing the Posh players all over the pitch throughout the 90minutes was so good to see and captured the spirit and confidence we show under Brian.

To watch the team not reduce the tempo or pressure second half was great and getting a few goals in front of the North stand was nice!

My motm was Howard, he linked play well between the wingers and produced some neat interchanging passes with Long and Gylfi whilst winning his fair share of tackles in the middle of the park. Once more he linked well with Tabb and really deserved a goal today but that will arrive another day.

Roll on Tuesday and a similar performance please.

Will need to move quickly and bid big money. As a highly rated England U21 keeper, I susepct he will be off to one of the big boys before too long.

For all this talk of sublime perfomance from Reading it has to said that Peterborough were total DOG SHIT.

Of course, you can only play what is put in front of you and, yes, I am being picky, but I would have liked to have seen a few more chances put away.

10-nil would have been a fairer reflection of our total dominance.

Wouldn't be surprised to see 'arry in for Lewis in the summer he wouldn't shut up about the guy after P'boro played Spurs in the cup.

He made some pretty decent saves, but he had plenty of opportunities to look good with the chances we created

Was massively at fault for the first goal though

paultheroyal Griffin can't settle down south and won't be returning.

LOL@ can't settle down within the same country. He's playing at stoke which is like two hours away. Why not live there and commute?

If sig can settle moving from iceland at 14....

Seriously though its a shame if true, hasn't remotely effected his performances on the pitch.

Tis true... heard this from another source myself. Likes the club but isnt fancying a move down here

Shame as of all three loanees, i'd think i'd prefer to keep him the most

FiNeRaIn Absolute walloping, can't remember a more dominant performance in a long time. The wingers were fantastic and even pearce was a rock at the back. What an enjoyable spectacle and top marks to BMD for installing that sort of mentality into the team.

Felt sorry for peterboro's fans, woeful side and they didn't even hang around to clap their fans at the end. Good luck to them next season.

Lastly, good atmosphere too - loved the new chants and fun had by all.

Stewards, fvck off.

Finerain, i couldnt agree with anything more. spot on.

Chaney i was actually disappointed we didn`t score more..it could easily have been double figures.

Same here, although we didn't stop trying which has previously been the case when we've been at least 4-0 up. One day I will see us win 7-0 and set a new Madejski Stadium record.
