Pog may or may not be OK, and may or may not do well in the Championship

but no way do I see him approaching 25-30 goals and he's VERY expensive

If we sell and get his wages off the accounts, there are a few who are good Champ strikers

I quite like that Hunt chappie at Reading. We could get him for free.

yappy Would really like to see our team next season built around the likes of McCarthy, Guthrie, HRK & McCleary.

Personally don't rate the Pog, would be quite happy to see him leave.

Wholeheartedly agree with this. Would also like to keep ALF, but looks unlikely. Have never rated the Pog and his wages could be far better used elsewhere. Not withstanding the poor service he had received, he is too slow , too clumsy and is not a natural finisher.

We just need to keep the basis of or current squad. Yes we will lose a few to the PL and Leeds... but so longs as the key players stay and we add 3 or 4 more then we should challenge.

I think there are clearly players in the squad that are not part of NAs progression plans

Shorey
Harte
Ledge
Hunt
Pearce

gaps in the squad that will need to be filled before next season.

Yep would agree with those. I would have added Jobi to that list earlier but can now see that he might be good to keep for another season. At PL level though his final ball has not been good. I worry about keeping -

McCarthy
Mariappa
Kebe
ALF

We need to fight to keep them if we can plus add a few more. Excited about seeing Akpan and some of the other youngsters develop under NA. Promote a few more Academy players please. I also worry about the big boys pinching our youngsters too.

Imo going...

Pogrebnyak
McCarthy (He's young and English so maybe Liverpool will be willing to spend outrageous money, and Federici is excellent in the Championship)
Pearce
Guthrie (Preferably driven to his next club by me)
Harte
Cummings
Tabb

Ledge is beyond pitiful at PL level but he was excellent in the Championship. Wouldn't be gutted to see him go however.

Hmmm... Glad to see Adkins starting a team he thinks will challenge for the championship next season, its important that in key areas of the team:

Keepers: unless a massive offer comes in for McCarthy then he will be staying and ass number one, if he goes Feds will stay number one and hopefully supported by Andersen if he stays....

Fullbacks: shorey and heart will both go leaving us Cummings, mills, Gunter and Kelly, one left back will be on the shopping list with youth players forming backup.

Centre halfs: Morrison and marriapa are key!!! Potential to be the best paring outside the prem, will need back up and a good young centre half will be on the shopping list, korks will leave as will Pearce,

Centre mid: the karacan to turkey rumour won't go away and I do think Guthrie suits the new formation,if we get offered decent money then legs will go along with Tabb, one creative centre mid either to play off the striker or to hold the mid will be needed,

Wide players: time to get rid of kebe??? To injury prone, more games next year so if money was offered should let him go, I do think people will offer good money for hrk and McCleary, however do not want to see either go! Mcnuff will stay but again if money was offered should cash in as hes getting on and overrated!

Upfront: pog will go back to Russia and that will fund another target man striker, again plently of people will be in for Alf especially promoted teams, Blackman and youth players will be given the chance but hunt will go when his contract is up

In all, two centre halfs, left back, one centre midfield, one wide player if someone goes and one striker to come in and team will be complete

Good.

Priorities must surely be to keep at least one of McCarthy / Federici, Pogrebnyak / ALF, Mariappa / Pearce, Morrison / Gorkss and HRK / Kebe. Ideally Guthrie as well.

I've bolded where my preferences lie. If we can do that, we have an excellent squad with very few gaps in it and those that go could hopefully fund the two or three quality players we'll need to round it off.

Church, Roberts, Shorey and Harte are all surely gonners too.

If it was down to me I'd keep mariappa, HRK, pog and McCarthy. As long as these 4 stay I'd be happy. A team built around these 4 would be immense.

And I'm expecting people to mention ALF, TBH I don't think he is as good as people make out, yes he scored a few important goals but since them he has down nothing( except score at Fulham once were already relegated) special. I'd like to keep him but I don't think we will miss him if he does go
