Cureton's Volley Why can't people understand that the result and the manager's performance are two separate things?

Is anyone honestly willing to say they would not have made a change before Nigel the ditherer did?

So when the team play shite and we lose its not the managers fault? OK got that now

I was 8 years old when this happened, I was just to the right of the goal in the Tilehurst End and it's seared into my brain. That game was when I fell in love with football. Six goals, a goalkeeper gets sent off, an outfield player goes between the sticks and an open-goal miss. I don't think it gets better.

If Nigel makes the right calls then I will agree with you. Managers can make the right calls yet still lose, those situations happen, otherwise football would be boring.

Tonight however, Nigel had a bit of a mare and got lucky with the win. I'm glad, I really am. But you mongs who think he is God are really going to be disappointed if he doesn't up his game with in-game decision making. If he took off HRK for Akpan early in the half that situation would be much less likely to have become that close.

HRK was a passenger. Argue that one and explain why he wasn't subbed earlier?

I don't think he's God - I just don't think he is getting a fair deal from a lot of people who think Brian should still be here.

When Brian went Adkins was probably my choice but I have to say I am a bit befuddled by some of his picks. I can't believe Jobi can't get a game, I can't believe Hal is getting so many games, I don't understand why we are so short in some areas but is that Adkins fault?

All in all it pisses me off that the bloke is getting so much stick when we are 4th

Just seen the highlights on SSN.
Didn't look like a foul from Gunter for the 2nd yellow.

Was just about to post similar, he went for the header and got taken out by the Forest player - very unlucky...

Not quite in agreement but what I would say is that there is absolutely nothing he can do to prevent himself bringing their guy down after he starts to fall. Could be considered a harsh booking because it is completely unintentional but then again he can also be considered to be lucky not to receive a straight red.

By all accounts the first booking was ridiculous as well...

If I remember rightly the sending off (Beasant?) was a shocker. Then there was this
