Worrying the recent hamstring injuries now look longer term....as there's' been talk of Hoilett and Halilvic being back soon

So in summary, we’ve been really unlucky?

But so long as Swift doesn't join them the team can cope.
So, can you match the injury to the player?

an ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) - Meite
a PCL (posterior cruciate ligament) - McIntyre
a dislocated shoulder - Joao
a fractured and dislocated hip - Joao
a long-term medial knee ligament in one knee followed by a tendon problem in the other - Araruna
two or three ankle ligament ruptures - Rinomhota?
a couple of long-term hamstring tendon injuries - Morrison
a triple bone fracture in the foot. - Holmes
How'd I do? Badly?

I note the list of injuries does not include bruised knuckles....
Definitely an impact injury, definitely not during a match but match related.

Have to say describing some of them as just impact injuries seems really rather one eyed to me.

Holmes and McIntyre are wrong. McIntyre would be the foot injury and Holmes the ankle ligaments.
Suspect Morro,is the cruciate
Halilovic hamstring
Tetek ankle ligament
Swift hamstring (pending)

3rd month of the season and already more than enough for a game of match the injury

Perhaps Reading could release "Match the Injury" as a proper game for Christmas? Could be a card game like pairs...

Or they could do it as a rip off of Cluedo:

Was it Tom McIntyre with the foot injury in the Coventry match?

Just seen a reminder on Twitter that we're likely to be without Yiadom and Rahman from the day after boxing day, possibly until the middle of Feb, for the AFCON. Yikes.

Let me state initially that I am not against the manager , on this I remain open minded , but I am at a total loss to understand our injury situation . How come we get a fresh injury every week ? How come they are never short term injuries ? How come after being out for weeks , we are told they are approaching a return , and then pick up another injury ? Also , how come in the last two games , the players that are on the pitch in the second half , play as though they are injured ?
I have never known a situation anything like this at any club , but I really don’t believe it’s just bad luck , there has been too much of it for that .

Not injuries per se but we could be missing a few from late Dec to early Feb due to the African Cup of Nations.

Ovie Ejaria has been named in the provisional Nigeria squad for the AFCON taking place in 2022 (though FIFA still need to approve his nationality switch)

Then Baba and Yiadom are likely to be in the Ghana squad.

Either our injury situation improves or we are absolutely oxf*rd in January.
