Not entirely sure most Reading fans would be with you there….
the man has pumped more money into this club than all our other owners combined, only fair he seeks a return. If fans cant appreicate that then i would say thats a somewhat selffish view to take.
Have you considered that a lot of the money might not have been Dai's own to spend.........

Ha yeh, surely that's his way of announcing it, without actually announcing it.

And his way of telling us he won’t actually be coming to games…..

@RCouhig Well, that’s sorted. Royals tv package purchased. Should be quality preparation for the season. Anxious to see the boys in action.

With all the deafening silence there’s been from the club about the takeover this seems a bit of an odd thing to do of it’s not a done deal yet.
Maybe it’s his way of alleviating fans fears or putting a bit of pressure on the EFL to give their approval of the takeover.

In principle selling the club to new owners sounds easy. Actually striking a deal that's acceptable to all parties involved is probably far more complex. The training complex is financially a huge white elephant for one. Nice to have. But totally out of kilter with a middle table L1 side.

Though quite possibly it’s the training ground that Couhig is most interested in

Surely not now he knows he can't sell it from underneath us.

He could, as the new owner of the football club, request an amendment to the covenant
No guarantees it would be granted, but it’s possible

Royal_jimmy It's dragged on so so so long. First home game with a new owner will make the ground rock.

WestYorksRoyal Is this the week? If it's not, it's probably indicative that things are not all well, as with every other "big week" that has come and gone.

Yeah, fingers crossed for this week. I thought it would be last week off the back of what STAR and Dellor had said. If it doesn’t happen it might indicate things are amiss.
