Past performance has no relevance to future performance.
A good result for us last night but unfortunately both Burnley and Leeds won.

wow, that's pessimistic

A Barnsley WIN-DRAW
H Portsmouth WIN
H Preston WIN
A Nottm Forest Could be anything but Forest currently imploding
A Scunthorpe WIN-DRAW
H Leicester WIN
A Leeds Could be anything, but we could win-draw there if on track
H Sheffield WIN
A Coventry WIN
H Derby WIN

I could see 6-7- poss 8 wins or W6 D2 (20 points) excluding Forest-Leeds

Actually, 15pts would perfectly match our average for the first 36 games of the season and is where i'd place my money (if I had to)

Was the Watford game (when we looked laughably shit) so long ago that you're just awarding us home wins for the rest of the season?

20 pts would be a great end to the season. But is also in my opinion very possible with a fit squad.

So you're saying it's impossible currently, then :P

We'll pass Forest and finish 7th (with which I would be quite happy tbh)

I prefer to work on precedents - in this case the number of points gained by the 6th placed club in the past 15 seasons (the length of the current format of the division).

The average is 73.4. 9 of the 15 teams placed 6th have had 74 or more points. So, to have a good shout this season we'll need 20 more points on top of current 54 - 6 or 7 wins out of ten games (incl Forest and Leeds away - neither of which we seem to win in the league). I don't think we're consistent enough winners of games this season. We should focus on the Cup.

So not the average of Elwood's games, you know, CURRENT form, 17 games now and over 2 points per game?

So not the average of the games (CURRENT FORM) where Long-Hunt have really turned it on and scored about 20 goals in 15 games?

So not the average of when our classiest CB plays?

If last-six form is maintained to the end of the season

We gain 10 points on Forest, 8 on Cardiff, 2 on Leeds

Needless to say ppg is out of the window in the two actual games v Forest and Leeds
Winning or losing at either is HUGE

Snowbal,
I,if and more if.
Why should form over a 6 match run continue for the rest of the season?
That is a giant and unrealistic assumption IMHO.
We are still massive outsiders and I'm not sure it would be a good thing for us to scrape into the play-offs for so many reasons.
The FA Cup on the other hand........
