Mr Angry 3 pts clear of 3rd, with a better GD, 9 games left and with us to go to both WHU and to the Saints??

Yes please and thank you very much.

It's a good position to be in but the better GD means bugger all if the Shammers win that game in hand. Mind you that's a big 'if' the way they keep messing up and bottling things.

So was their last five, but they drew 4 of those.

? If they win it by more than one goal you mean... We are 3 clear and a goal to the good.

No they only need to win 1-0 as they've scored more than us.

What does this even mean?

They're all very loseable as well.

Well that Southampton bullshittery lost me 600 quid (only 10 stake). They're certain to go up as Norwich did last year, with late goals. But we done all we could and I'm happy for that. I was worried our efficient ways had become inefficient, but thankfully we're creating so many chances now its more probability than efficiency. Up we go!

If someone had offered me this position 10 games ago I would have laughed in their face

Even if we don't make automatic, at least we've given Saints and West Ham a right scare

And if the unthinkable happens and we do go up automatically, we would have embarrassed one of these "footballing giants"

A win on Tuesday means play-offs at the very least is secured. Got to be honest though - would now be gutted to get play-offs!

Just looking at the remaining games:

Posh - win
Blackpool - draw
West Ham - win
Leeds - win
Brighton - lose
Saints - draw
Forest - win
Palace - win
Birmingham - lose

5 wins, 2 draws, 2 defeats = 87 points. Surely that will be enough to get promotion?

I spent the afternoon in the company of a Saints fan. I was painting, he was tiling. His mood went up and down like a roller coaster. Late goals used to be our game. West Ham's late equaliser was a blow, but Southampton's two late penalties is what happens to champions. The important thing for us is that West Ham dropped points again.

Second place could well come down to goal difference. Today's 4-0 could end up being worth an extra point to us. No-one's complaining about the string of one goal wins, but a couple of results like today's would be quite handy.

Friday's Legacy Bit surprised by Mullins coming straight in for Cummings. I'm assuming Cummings isn't fully fit yet because that seems very harsh.

It also highlights for me that Griffin's Reading career is well and truly over.

Very True Friday's Legacy. Think judging by Cummings last two games he can't be truely fit as he has been a weaker link for us in those games.

Sorry to bump this but just seen Cummings announcing on twitter that he is NOT currently injured!!
