After subscribing to Reading World I realised how crap Dellor is at commentating. Always banging on about something irrelevant, or, as was after the Derby game, moaning about something (he felt his nose had been put out as BMD didn't come out and give him his interview - boo-fecking-hoo).

Grow up Dellor. You are not some sort of radio god.

Matt Mills Attention to Detail

by Stuka » 18 Mar 2010 16:41

"The 23-year-old said, "99.999% of the fans were great last night, but there was one moment in the game when the frustration that was building amongst the fans and in myself came together"

-from http://www.readingfc.co.uk/page/NewsDet ... 30,00.html

So if the attendance was the reported 16,886 and 2,024 of those were away fans, that leaves 14,842 home fans. Divide that by the quoted 99.999% I think that means only 0.14842 of a fan gave him cause for frustration.

Did we really need another thread on this subject that has already been done to death.

Stuka

You need to factor in that he got stick for about 5 minutes. So even if one person gave him grief they did so for only about 5% of the game. Rework your figures in minutes of abuse and he's about right.

Dirk Gently I think the club would appreciate someone with a little more objectivity.

Who gives a shit what the propoganda machine would like? And who cares if he loses friends at the club? The BBC isn't another mouthpiece for the club's spin doctors (unlike you).

Nice one Mags..I respected Mills more for telling us to feck off and giving a sh1t rather than the nice boy image the club want to put out.

I did and my brother joined in but he has aways been a bit of a sheep. Some bird behind me was ranting most of the second half too. The calculations supplied by Stuka, Mr Mills and the club are all very suspect :(

i'd have thought his post match throwing of his shirt into the crowd after the middlesboro game would have won him some respect from the supporters. shame that reading fans are so quick to jump on the back of the players when they are having an off game, but then watching from ivory towers you get such a great view.

West Ham fans were giving their own team the bird at 0-0 last night after a string of misplaced passes. Which was tame compared to the reaction when they went a couple of goals behind. The way some people carried on on this thread you'd have thought that it was only Reading fans who ever gave high-earning footballers some stick.

The hand-wringing self-lotahing of RFC followers over their own support is utterly curious.

And it's not like the East Stand groaning and grunting is even on the same kind of scale as what was heard at the Boleyn last night

Mill's distribution is awful

We have every right to moan and when he overhit yet another pass I groaned. Despte what it says on the official site, so did a large section if the support

He turned and gave the finger to Y26 which was a surprise as there were groans all round the gorund

Its good he cares, hopefully he and someone in the coaching staff will pick up on his poor distribution now and do something about it.

Either that or he stops trying to hit 60 yard passes

in that game he speared one ball in particular 50 yards to the feet of kebe
also did it a couple of times in the next game.

so he fails occasionally, and some games he fails more than he succeeds.

get over yourselves you bunch of derr brains

I seem to recall the frustration bred from him cocking up several in a row.

If they are going to use that pass as a regular tactic you'd hope they'd at least practise them on the training ground (and I assume they do)

Also, is it my imagination or are a number of teams getting players sent off against us this season? I mean, more than normal? (maybe deserving of it's own thread.)

yeah, so he should have changed tactics, except there wasnt much else on.
practice as much as he wants hes going to get a percentage of them wrong, and a random percentage of those may just come in one game. i think his other games, and the other areas of that particular game had him in enough credit to do without groaning, or booing the lad

Hmmmm, that as well as a number of our own players getting sent off. Mills, McAnuff, Long (twice!) and Ingimarsson are those I can remember.
