Let me give you an analogy - you go to your fish and chip shop last year and its really good, you like the food. You go back one day and the batter is soggy, chips are nasty and you ask why. The manager explains there was a change in staff, this is the best you are going to get (at the moment) the manager tells you that his trainees will get better. Do you still go and eat there with the hope that one day the food will get back to its best - no you don't you earnt the money and want/demand that the product is good don't you. You surely aint going back because the food used to be good, you want it good NOW.

I hope that you understand the basic way in which this analogy makes my original point, if you don't then I for one can't explain it any plainer.

I'm happy now since the signings- I wasn't happy this time last week! I think we have a very good team in the making since the signing of those 3 players. All we have to wait for is Brian to find the team that works. I'm pretty positive that a Manset Le Fondre partnership could be the most exciting we've seen for some time. I'm just waiting for McDermott to realise how average Hunt, Griffin and Federici are, and how poor Harte is. McCarthy, Mills, Cummings, Le Fondre and Manset would greatly improve our side, but that's just my opinion

Not really, a fish and chip shop is a business and the RTG's on here seem solely confined to only talking about the Reading business and how that's sustainable rather than the actual team quality. So the people he's actually aiming that analogy at are nailed on. Replace the fish and ship shop with a restaurant, cafe, supermarket,etc anything where there is a decline in product...its going to put people off. Those are the facts.

Honestly, you seem to be going about this like a oxf*rd. A fish and chips product is actually a comsumable product where you can actually measure by biting down on it. With football, it's completely different. You have oxf*rd like Rother who think football is best played like Arsenal or people who don't care how their team go about it as long as their team wins!
