Whitleyhoop Yes I'm new on here but lifetime fan! I have to admit I was buzzing for the zingarevich take over "dreams of championship manager esq signings" but looking at the business since he took over? Maybe I should lend him a fiver as it appears he has nothing left after his wifes last implant! Joke signings and sick of being the frank spencer of the premiership!

I see a few vitriolic comments coming your way mate!

Do RFC have Real Ambition to survive in Premier League?

by Sir Dodger Royal » 22 Jan 2013 08:32

McDonet is a Yes Man with NO b***s. What Manager would put up with the following?

RFC Net Transfer Fees Season 2011/12 Plus £8.1million (more out than in)
RFC Net Transfer Fees Season 2012/13 - £7.5million (more in than out includes Stephen Kelly)
Equals - To date RFC have spent no new money on players over TWO SEASONS.

Quote McDonet "RFC will not be doing £5mill deals" or "you have 2 find another way"

The idiots on this Board talk about 'spending wisely' FFS their is £70 million at stake next season in TV money. £40 million this season. Where's the money going?

RFC have spent NOTHING in net transfer fees in TWO seasons. They deserve what they get and unless they pull their finger out in the next 10 days and buy some quality they will be relegated.

Real Facts. Ambition? It's laughable. Get a lifeeeeeeeee

Real Facts Boys. No arguments. The new owners are playing Russian Roulette.

They are buying RFC for £25million. The Madman will be fully paid off later this year.

More by luck that a clear strategy RFC hit a purple patch last year and managed to get promoted. The team was clearly not of sufficient quality for the Premier League.

The Russians see an opportunity THIS SEASON to write off their investment with a quick return of their capital. They are hoping RFC manage to stay up with limited expenditure.

It's a Big Gamble. If it works then fine if it doesn't they've blown a massive £70million windfall down the drain and will have to start again and hope RFC hit another purple patch in Championship and come straight up again. However lady luck doesn't hit twice.

This is called GAMBLING not SPENDING WISELY. Sensible asset investment is required to develop a business. Quality Players are the building blocks to success. Not cheapos which drop out of Squeaky's Quality Street Tin of average limited ability players who either haven't played for a long time or mere squad players of bottom tier Premeir League Clubs.

Real Facts from the Main Man. You know SDR talks sense. RFC need to go for it because to date they have spent NO MONEY on NEW PAYERS over TWO Seasons.

Real disasterrrrrrrrrrrr

Shane Long. Start of last season.

£6m?

So in the last two seasons:
Leigertwood ~£800k (arguably spent at the end of the previous season I 'spose)
Gorkss ~£900k
Le Fondre ~£300k
Roberts (I'll lowball it) ~£500k
Mariappa ~£2m
Gunter ~£2m
Carrico ~£600k
Akpan ~£300k?
Kelly ~£1m?

I make that £7.1m on transfers out, with a low estimate for a fee for Roberts and not including the guesses I made for Akpan and Kelly. So realistically we're looking at closer to £9m. Which of course doesn't include signing on fees for Guthrie, Shorey, McCleary or in particular, Pogrebnyak.

Oh dear, Mr Dodger appears to be wrong. Unusual that.

That's one possible cynical, conspiracy-theory, take on things. That's your cynical choice SDR. It's in your head.

I don't see any such intentions. I'd say spending wisely was it's own kind of gamble. Cup half full view, in my head, you call "RTG".

Is this really still the wind-up level of argument we get from you after all these years ?

To be fair, he's getting better. There's only one word with multiple lettersssssssssssssssssss on it. Back in his heyday it was almost every other word "Real factsssssssss from the main mannnnnnn. Gary Alexander is the mannnnnnn to fire the Royalssssssssss."

And yes, that is the same Gary Alexander now playing for Crawley. What a shame we didn't sign him when we had the chance!

I quite like pizza, maybe sdr has grown tired of pizza?

Ah yes of course, back in the good old League One days under Pardew, "the RTGs need to have some piiiiiizzzzzzzzzaaaaaaaaaa!"

Maybe he's on a diet?
