Does that mean he's allowed to play ball now?

2 years. Seems a tad low. No mention of an option for a third, or I skim-read it too fast.

But all the ITK people on here said he'd never play for us again?

May have been at his request. He'll only be 26 when this contract expires so it gives him an easier get out if thinks aren't working out here, ie Prem football.

I am really pleased about this! Maybe controversially with some. But i don't doubt his heart isn't at Reading. His performances have always shown that. I do just think he has either received some terrible advice on how to handle this situation by his agent, or he did just genuinely feel that he was worth more than the contract being offered to him initially. As a player of the season the year before and now a full international, maybe he had a case. Either way, let's be glad this has been put to bed finally!

He's a quality defender and we're lucky to have him. No further defensive signings required.

Strangly I'm annoyed about this. Wanted Morro to get his chance. Just whiffs of Stephen Hunt again. If we are paying him 30k + pw that is stupid.

He better have a fcuking good season now.

He's certainly more than good enough at our current level.

Good for him. I've been quite cynical about Pearce but it should just be water under the bridge now. He's got a point to prove as well. Still has to oust Morrison from the starting line up.

Alex Pearce says I’ve said that I wanted to feel valued, and that’s the case now.

You're signing your contract in the hallway Alex.
