Wow. From non-league football straight into League One football.
He must be good.

Only 18 and already at League 1. The lad definitely has talent.

True but Bignall is already there and he's the same age. And there's a big difference between Cheltenham and say Leeds. Otherwise point taken.

Plus the fact that it is Mad Dog taking him on, so not a manager out of the blue

True but he won't know the lad. I would say Mad Dog has approached the club asking for a borrow of a winger that we think can do a job so we've sent them Antonio to get some proper experience.

Not according to the OS:

Allen said, "Michail was outstanding for Reading's reserves and is a player I had my eyes on for a long time when he was playing for Tooting. He's a fast attacking winger and we have pace down both sides of the pitch."

AlexY25 That isn't a one off for him, he scored a very good goal against Stoke as well. I would love to see him play as a second striker, both of his goals have come from the middle, and i think he'd suit that position. Kebe could also then stay on the wing.

He also scored a very good goal for Bournemouth live on Sky a couple of seasons ago (or was it only last season?). All 3 from roughly the same position.

Does anyone know of a Joe Anderson who has 'played for Reading Reserves several times this season'? Or is this some sort of misprint as it says he's from Fulham?

I'm putting it here as it says he's gone on loan and I don't think it deserves it's own thread.

Coppell undecided on loaning Gylfi Sigurdsson to Cheltenham.

After lengthy negotiations Reading and Cheltenham could not reach an agreement this week on a loan move for Gylfi Sigurdsson to the latter club until the end of the season. Coppell is apparently unwilling to loan the youngster out to teams outside the championship. However the two teams will resume talks on monday.

If that's true, it shows that he has faith in the youngster to perform at this level.

I've said before that I actually think Siggy has the potential to be a better player than Karcan will be. An excellent passer of the ball with a rocket shot and real prescence in midfield.

disagree with this slightly. just because siggy wont be loaned out to a level lower than our own doesnt mean he has more potential. karacan has played in the championship and shown he is good enough to play and im sure he probably had loan offers from clubs in the championship. if thats the case then why hasnt he gone out on loan? because if we get injuries and suspensions he will play and im sure siggy would play a part too.
im not trying to take anything away from siggy because i believe he is a quality youngster but so is karacan and he is ahead of siggy in terms of games in the first team.

A mate told me this week that there was a chance that we could get Glen Little back on loan ?

Do any Hob Nobbers know anything about this ??

Hal Robson-Kanu just scored for Swindon. Antonio was taken off after 28 mins for Cheltenham.

Unless Antonio was injured, being taken off after 29 minutes is giving a message about very disappointing performance. Or was Mad Dog up to some other tricks?

He was injured. Cheltenham fans said he was looking rather good up until he was taken off.
