I largely agree (@Zac) but it's not how we've generally played it (see how the other wingers position themselves).

In terms of the shape of the midfield, I'd say we set up up with with 1 holding behind a flat four with, in yesterday's game Karacan and Guthrie being the two in front of Legiertwood who is supposed to sit in front of the back four.

Adkins will start changing shape and personnel as he spends more time with the players, but ultimately making mega changes (tactically and selection-wise) after only 3 days training which many will have missed due to internationals would have been footballing suicide.

Hoop Blah Not sure if its been mentioned, but the opening goal again shows Ronson-Kanu's weakness for not helping out his fullback as much as our other wingers.

He seems to play 10/15 yards further forward than the likes of Kebe and McAnuff and the time and space allowed to Corzola (??) to pick out Gervinho was probably a direct consequence of that once everyone else got dragged into and around the six yard box.

10/15 yards forward and 10/15 yards too slow. Slow going forward and slow going back. The only reason he looks good at the moment is due to the rubbish playing around him.

IMO, Legs gets unfairly criticised a lot on this board. But in this particular match, he was really poor! Akpan would have been a much better choice.
