I don’t rate Pauno and don’t want him here, I made that clear at the back end of last season.

Fact of the matter is we can’t afford to get rid of him and or get someone else in so what the oxf*rd else are we going to do? Just squeaky bum and fingers crossed we pick up enough points playing the way we are to narrowly stay up but I don’t see us performing much better under him.

I’m sure we could find someone in-spite of our financial quagmire. And to the people saying we can’t sack him as we can’t afford it. I didn’t think manager severance pay counted towards ffp ?

I've only been to the home games but if we're setting up away like we are at home I see one problem with the way we're playing and why Coventry had so many shots. The problem was evident at Stoke and was clear vs Bristol City.

The issue is Rinomhota and Laurent play far too high up the pitch leaving our back 4 less protected. Whether that's to help Bristow who isn't ready to be starting games or Azeez who has energy but looks limited who knows. But it would make sense if the manager has asked them to do that. Ejaria, Joao qnd Olise could open teams up and hold possession better than our forward 4 can who played Tuesday and today.

Our back 4 has a make shift left back in McIntyre, a past it centre back in Morrison and an over paid and rated centre back in Moore. Yiadom.. meh I don't know what he brings. But I'm not surprised we're leaking goals.

The solution:
Signing a specialist left back will help but I think the best solution especially away from home is Rinomhota and Laurent need to be dropping far further back more often to protect our fragile defence. At home the onus is on us to attack so that's a tough one really. Hopefully a couple of additions will patch up the problem.

The downside to this is the goals will dry up as we'll be creating fewer chances but we would be far more solid.

I don't think so. Even if it did we'd only have to pay 9 months of compo. So circa £500k max if including all the management team.

It looks very strongly that Pauno is taking us down. I think we’re playing the wrong football at the wrong time with the wrong players. Slow, not direct enough, mentally weak and absolutely no leadership. But then you could say that about every team in the last 5 years.

The squad is wafer thin but we’ve still got enough to do better than we are. But we can’t just keep sacking managers.

I really hope by Cardiff he’s sorted things out, otherwise he’ll probably be gone.

No reason to think we wouldn’t languish in League one or even lower. Our fan base is still quite small for the championship and our revenue is pretty feeble too.

FFP In League 1 clubs can spend a maximum of 60% of their turnover on wages…..

Way too soon to start contemplating relegation - but today was awful. There needs to be a big improvement over the coming weeks when we sign a few more players. The slide at the tail end of last season is starting to resurface in the current campaign and he needs to really stick a rocket up the senior players who are quite frankly playing like schoolboys at the moment.

Reminds me a lot of when we got rid of Brian v2 and replaced with Stam. We had 1 good season, but then 2-3 very poor finishes. Brian would have kept us clear of the bottom & would’ve weeded out the issues at the club. But the owners wanted instant success rather than building slowly. Tragic

Bowen had started that process but Dai got impatient. 1 good season under Pauno last year, now we’re back to incompetence.

This time it’s worse as we have no Strength in depth.

Biggest fear right now is losing Swift, either to injury or selling. We’d be nailed on for relegation IMO. Wonder what he’s thinking right now. What’s he got to gain by staying an extra season? Surely he’d want to play at a higher level?

This 100% just look at how many teams have gone down to league one and never recovered or languished in the league for years.

Less revenue, less coverage, lower attendances, less sponsorship revenue, less secondary spend etc I don’t think we will go down but we must avoid league one at all costs

Swift is out of contract next summer though. We won't benefit but he will.
